Wrong. This is by far the best Spider Man scene ever. Teenage PainToad loved this.

      • I don't believe this scene meets the basic requirements of this thread, which is 4k Dolby Vision.

I hit thumbs down because of how painful that was to watch at 240p. I tried to take back my thumbs down.

    • Bully Maguire

    • I couldn't agree more! Have you heard Toby Maguire talk about this scene in interviews? It's hilarious, he makes a joke about the director telling him that he was acting too cool.

Having watched the 4K blurays, the transfer to 4K was awesome. It's not an upscale and they added some HDR as part of the release. Presumably the iTunes version is the same.

If only the third movie didn't suck.

    • You can buy them separately for $4.99 each if you want to skip the third movie

      • This is what I did, definitely the way to go.

3rd movie got a lot of hate, but I thought it was alright.

  • Is the quality drop (in comparison to the UHD Blu Ray version) noticeable?

    • +1

I don’t notice that much of a difference from a normal viewing distance. The convenience of having it digitally, as well as cheaper than UHD Blu-ray outweighs the small gain in close-up visuals in my opinion. If you have a big sound system you will notice a difference in audio quality though, but this is not noticeable with a typical soundbar setup.

      • Video could be better as it's Dolby Vision while the UHD discs are just plain jane HDR10. Shame you can't actually have it both ways..

    • Really depends on your hardware but to probably 95% of people, no.

      • My setup is LG OLED CX with a Sonos Arc (no sub/satellites).!

  • Does this have the Editor's Cut for SM3? Always forget it exists and every time I try to buy it it's geoblocked in Aus.

      Just checked, yes it does!

      • Lmao guess who's making their first ever digital movie purchase after work.*

*Unless you count Digi code redemptions, then this is nothing new

      • Are you 100% sure? I can’t find anything on there confirming it, not a single review mentions it, the runtime is listed as the same as the normal one, the release year is still 2007 (not a shock there thought tbh), frankly I don’t use Apple at all for anything so at least if I bought on Google I could watch via YouTube or something, this will basically be a watch it on my phone mission tbh I don’t own an apple computer or Apple TV and am truly surprised there’s no iTunes android app (or at least not one I could easily find, it is late I might have missed it)

        • Yep it comes under the iTunes extras as a different version. So if you purchase it on your iPhone, play the movie, rotate into landscape mode and press the “Extras” button you will be able to switch to the editors cut. I just checked!

          • @3L Milk: Hells yeah, legends only!

I'll have to buy em tonight, bugger the android version isn't as cheap, could at least watch on youtube

  • Can you play these through Apple TV?

    • +2

Yep, that’s how I watch them.

  • I haven't purchased a movie from iTunes before but the deal link indicates HD, not 4K. Are you sure the bundle includes 4K?

    • Shows as 4k on my apple tv and iPhone. Sometimes when viewing from the web it will only show HD.

      • Okay, thanks.

In your experience, is it better to buy a bundle or individual movies? For Google Play, if the price is same/similar, it's better to buy them individually (since if the movie gets an upgrade of any sort, only the individual purchases get updated and not the movies in a bundle).

        • +1

There’s no difference between movies bought in a bundle or individually on iTunes. They all show as individual movies. They all still get updates as expected, regardless of how they were purchased.

I’ve never used Google Play, but that’s a shame if that’s how it works over there…
