Was on this post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/684852 and wanted to see if I can find the K10 cheaper. The K10 on the ebay deal is for the K10 White Backlit, Non Aluminium Frame and Non Hot Swap for $109 but you get a free gift worth $10. This keyboard from BPC Tech is $99 which is lots better value.
Keychron K10 Bluetooth Keyboard Hot-Swappable Aluminium Frame RGB Backlit 104 Keys Mechanical (Red Switch) $99 Delivered @ BPC

Get ready for alot of typing mistakes
Oh…
I used cherry mx browns for the longest time and only started using gateron yellow switches about a week ago. Not having the tactile feedback took a bit of getting used to but linears felt really pleasant to type on after a while. Worth giving it a shot!
@AV1: I used a milkshake for a while and I have to agree with you. Takes a bit of time to get use to but it is absolutely a blast afterwards
Yeah reds life. I bought browns to replace, just not bothered to do it yet.
If I went from brown to red, I'd definitely miss them, but not the end of the world. I'll only ever buy brown or equivalent again, but hopefully my current Keychron lasts for ages
…no
Haha and cheers for the…advanced warning :P
Just takes getting used to, I went from blues to speed silvers, definitely an adjustment and more mistakes
$149 for the brown switch version. wondering if it's worth just buying that rather than the cheaper board, another set of switches and swapping them over..
Brown switch is cheaper on ebay. I bought a K10 last week and love the feel of it. $119
might not be hotswap…
Hmm. I'm not sure. I'm not home right now
thanks! which seller did you get it from…was it ezpc tech?
not bothered if it's not hot swap
ezpc-tech ;)
@Blu2: excellent!
If you are ok with wired, the brown version (non hotswap, non aluminium) is $69 at mwave
i saw that one a few days ago. most of mine are wired but this one needs to be wireless due to where it needs to be.
Currently own a G613, do you think this is better? I use it only for work.
Yes
If you use it in a shared office, please dont get a clicky keyboard haha.
However if you're doing essentially just typing, and you dont need to use the arrow keys or ins/del/home/etc by sight, then a 96% keyboard is actually quite nice (e.g. the keychron K4). The mouse sits ~10cm closer to the keyboard and it feels like it makes the ergonomics MUCH better.
That's good point regarding mouse. Currently I find myself swiping keyboard right sometimes like old typewriter style to reach the mouse.
I had brown before, gave up - too loud for office.red switches all the way unless your co-workers are jerks and you want to get back at them lol
Practically any switches are going to be better than the G613's (I own and use one)
I have the 'tactile' switch version and they feel linear in comparison to other switches.
wish it's blue switch
Pretty tempted.
Although with the charging cable on the left, I think it might be just a bit too short for my PC.
Shame the charging port isn't on the back.
Why is that even a factor. Lift the keyboard closer to the charging port when you're not using it…….
Edit: unless you use it wired in which case there may be other better value keyboards for you.
I had hard time remove the gateron switch out of the socket to change with other switch. Broke a few of them
Bought one anyway. Too many (profanity) kbs.
haha yeah i've got like….9 keyboards now? at least they're easy to stack and don't take up as much room as shoes.
I'm at like 5 wireless and I refuse to count the wired ones….. Lol
oh! are we only counting the wireless boards? just 2 wireless ones for me then ; i can continue living in denial ^_^
@tdw: Sure, why not hahaha.. I'm still holding the apex 3 and apex 5 I got from the catch Deal a while ago
This or DAS? Does anyone have experience using both? I am unable to decide if I should get K10 or DAS 5QS. In another words is DAS really worth another $220?
I'm currently using the K4, and I couldn't see a single reason to spend another $50, let alone another $220. Very solid build, great battery life, nice switches. I mean I'm sure you get more for the money, but I honestly couldn't think of what, or why I'd pay more.
How do these Bluetooth keyboards go with gaming? Worth a look or stay wired?
https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/keyboards/mechanical/928… Stock available at Scorptec if anyone missed out OP can you update?
Very nice keyboard, but I've found this keyboard being hard to use for everyday tasks, the keys are very slick and typing becomes a challenge. I switched to an MX Keys.
Do you mean the key caps are slippery or you mean you found the switch odd? I heard the MX keys not great for long sessions.
K5 mate, K5, with legs.
Any recomendations for a good wireless mouse to go with this?
for gaming? or just regular use?
more regular use but some casual gaming
Logitech M720 is a heck of a mouse for the money. Comfy, lots of features, good price, great for work.
not a gamer, but i've been thinking of getting the logitech g305 as i've heard good things from other ozbargainers.
@tdw: I really can't recommend M720 enough - I think it's a "final" mouse for me.
It's wonderful especially if not a gamer.@hamwhisperer: i've got several m720s…it's my daily mouse ;) but it definitely is a bit on the slow and heavy side. i tried it with a simple shooter game and i rage quit, it was that slow lol
If i bought it, i kinda have to upvote it, right?
Does anyone know if going from tactile to linear (these reds) will feel strange?
