  • quiet keys and ability to dock (not charge) your mobile device/tablet/ipad on the keyboard. Ability to quickly switch between devices. so you can respond to text messages etc on device via keyboard without having to pickup your phone. perfect for work or WFH people

ability to dock (not charge) your mobile device/tablet/ipad on the keyboard

      doesn't fit my iphone.

      • +4

Probably the case you are using on your iphone is too thick. I am using 16 pro with a generic case and it fits fine

      • whoa jv what model and case do you have?

sounds like you have the Pro Plus Max model with tough case (the screen protector is part of the case) I think those have a tough time fitting anywhere including being too heavy for magsafe charger mounts (they fall off when bumped).

        • whoa jv what model and case do you have?

XS Max in a flip leather case.

          • @jv: ok so biggest screen, and I think the fact it's a flip leather case. leather is thicker usually and the flip part swings around the phone to the otherside so still makes it thicker even with the cover off the screen. 💁‍♀️

            • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: the leather is about 4mm

              • @jv: that sounds thick imo. but I always get the most decent budget minimal case. TPU usually and no flip cover. I never had a problem with drops I guess it depends on the user.

                • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm:

I never had a problem with drops

Neither have I, but I'm sure my phone is just waiting for me to downgrade the case first…

                  • @jv:

but I'm sure my phone is just waiting for me to downgrade the case first…

you are probably right. because big screen phone equals heavy equals easier to kill. tbh I stick with smaller phone and have to say they are cheaper to replace as well! 🙏

Had this keyboard for a good few years. I like it. Easy to use switching between Windows and Mac too.

  • I'm a big, big fan of this keyboard, I bought one start of 2021 and bought a spare the same year (what was probably a price error, $28). My desk has 3 computers on it, so the quick swap is great. It's the same "Perfect Switch" scissor switches as the MX Keys, although without the nicer keycaps/backlighting so it's very quiet.

Definitely not a travel keyboard though, but then it sits on my desk and doesn't move so I appreciate how solid it is. Not needing to recharge it is great (I think I've changed the batteries once in 4 years, and it's just a pair of eneloops).

This was how I got mine a few years ago, pricebeat at Officeworks from Amazon listing. Keyboard treated me well for what it's worth.

Bit expensive for just a keyboard, bulk stock of office keyboards is ~$15/ea

Edit: Not sure while down voted… You can get standard office keyboards similar for <$30. If you need a bluetooth one there's other options too, just without the multi device switch

Looked into it more, seems BT keyboards are ridiculous prices now… Used to be about $30 for an office style one, they've gone the way speakers have. Similar to the Logitech Z623 being $90 in the past, now retails for $299 and ~150 on good deals.

There's still options if you don't need the switching though, ie https://www.amazon.com.au/OMOTON-Bluetooth-Keyboard-Wireless…
      With switching: https://www.amazon.com.au/E9350L-Rechargeable-Wireless-Ultra…

      • yeah I remember as a kid getting a 5.1 Logitech speaker system for $80, so I thought I'll go do the same for my small share house bedroom. Ah… Yeah, rude awakening that.

Edit: 500 new, 150 on eBay used for the model I had.

        • +4

The Z623 was ~$90 only a couple of years back… The same model is now over 150.

Bit different when it's a couple of years and the same product. Older models should go down in price on sales.

Edit: Actually just looked, it's been 6 years, geez. Where did that time go? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/457267

          Still, $69 vs $299 today, for am outdated model… That's around a 50% increase yearly, I should've invested in Logitech speakers not stocks… https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/logitech-z623-2-1ch-pc-sp…

          • @Dyl: Far out. You'd think people are mining crypto on them or something.

Got mine from office works for $38 a while back. Great keyboard.

    • yeah i was surprised they had deals that cheap posted on ozbargain…

  • bought one pre-owned like 5 years ago.. bloody heavy and indestructible

  • Got it for $20 NZD over 6 months ago, wish I had ordered more than 1.

  • Another vote for this keyboard. I've used it with Mac and Android devices. My only only complaint is that there's no Home key, and I haven't found a way to emulate one using various MacOS apps.

Multi device keyboards used to be a niche from Logitech, but now almost all wireless mechanical keyboards support multi channel, and type much nicer.

  • Also have this keyboard and it's better than most other Logitech keyboards at the pricepoint.

  • I bought this keyboard from markeplace a while ago. its a great keyboard (solid, quiet and nice to type). then i upgraded to mx keys. the main reason is i prefer the sperate switching device keys in mx key rather than using the f keys as my work old school program still need to use f keys and just easier with separate keys when switching devices. otherwise, this is a good keyboard and suit most of my needs.

  • Another one in support of this keyboard. Bought it at the start of COVID WFH time.

It is not portable as the base it heavy but I like it. Round flat keys so not suitable for those whi prefer concave keys. Also, no backlight. No function key row is a pain and I generally reach out to laptop F keys.

Tried this and MX keys. Weirdly, I prefered this one. Ability to connect to three devices is great. I quite like the stone like build and aesthetics. Keys are easy to press and has reassuring click but not deep like mechanical keyboard. Perfect as a accessory to the Macbook Air with similar key feedback. Very reliable and because of batteries, it doesn't need to be charged (pro or con, depends on the user).

I bought the KB below from Officeworks for $25 (clearance) and it looks very similar to this Logitech, pretty much exact specs. I got it as an interim keyboard to use between my Mac Mini M4 Pro and my older Windows PC. Is this an excellent keyboard rivaling premium brands, far from it but it's $25 and after 4 weeks now, I haven't returned it and don't feel the need for an immediate upgrade. Both, this and the Logitech will suck to use for the first 2 weeks if you are used to mechanical keyboards though like I was. https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/j-burrows-…

I sold this for $30 in good condition after no buyers for $50 haha I found myself not using it much because of the slow typing speed the keyboard is made. I have an MX keyboard and they are far more superior.

  • I wish there was a multi-device keyboard like this one with a trackpad.

    • there is a product that would be perfect for you, and the other user who I was chatting with at the bottom of my logitech keyboard post.

I hesitate to recommend it because of some negative reviews which say it broke within months, either the keyboard types random symbols only, or keys completely stop working such as backspace key or "n" key.

but it's the Mokibo Fusion universal keyboard. it has track pad function for all they keys when you hold down the red key, it's thin and not that much heavier than the Logitech I posted, but has a better stand than most options because it provides good stand function without needing to use the keyboard to balance the tablet's weight.

  • This is such a good keyboard. It has a flat back long enough to fit on your lap for TV gaming, is wireless, is silent so can't be heard when using a microphone in games, has no key rattle/wobble when playing on your lap.

  • Wonderful keyboard. Have 2. Perfect with the quick device switching.

  • II have the K480 (no numpad), best investment I've done - swapping between phones and computer, it super easy. They keys are a little bit hard and need to get used to it.

  • For anyone looking for something similar, I picked up this HP 975 keyboard for $30.25.

Does the job well, and less than half the price of this deal.

  • Price matched at officeworks for $75 - Amazon not delivering to regional Victoria. Fantastic deal.
