Same!
waiting for Wifi 6E…impatiently… are they coming?
no. not soon.
My understanding is that for most users there is no advantage due to the 6E really only offering advantage to 6 in short range almost "line of sight" and high density usage applications. So for offices and homes you'd be looking at a rollout of a device per room to get the speed you'd want from 6e .. otherwise just stay 6. The cost of implementation will be high and the market demand therefore low. 6E will be good for hotel lobbies, Convention centers stuff like that… home use nope.
Happy to be proven wrong.. I like to have new tech too .. but given how wifi manufactures usually jump and release before standards are even set the fact the 6e is really not on anyone's agenda kind of confirms this.
6E still isn't certified for use in Australia and many other markets, so it's not really in their interests to promote it here.
do you need to power with with POE or can if you actually plug in a AC wall adapter?
The AC pro can do both
the UAP-AC-PRO comes with a POE injector included.
nice :D
Just paid $260 for U6-LR a few days ago :(
The WiFi 6 model is still be a good choice, worth the price premium IMO
I'm waiting for a deal on the WiFi 6 Lite models - need two as my first gen AP-PRO stopped being supported. Now I'm hesitant buying anything older… or do you recon that Unifi AP AC PRO V2 will be supported for more than just another 5 years?
Waiting impatiently for the UDM SE to be here in Aus.
