  • Will you do a sale on the LOW and SOFT when it's back in stock?
    Since it's not included here.

  • +1

Hi bohn - unfortunately we have sold out of 'The Low & Soft', and is due back in stock in the coming weeks. It will be one sale at $95 but will unlikely have a further 20% offer attached.

  • Isn't FIRM normally better for support?

    • +3

Not necessarily. The right pillow will provide 3 things - comfort, support (alignment) & easy breathing (also aligment). All 3 are important. So if your pillow is firm, but also tall then you may find your head tilts upwards & you are not aligned, wheras a softer density pillow would compress to ensure your head & neck are aligned. A firm but too low profile pillow would see your head & neck tilt downwards - not aligned. The height is as important as the density.

Similarly some people simply prefer a soft pillow from a comfort perspective - and comfort is supremely important in a pillow. Latex pillows inherently push outwards, so even a soft density pillow will provide head & neck support. If you push down on a latex pillow it should recover to normal shape & height within seconds of taking your hand away. (The opposite of this is a memory foam pillow which compresses inwards).

So - like most things in life - it is more complicated that it at first seems. My personal preference is for a firm pillow, but a soft Talalay latex pillow at the right profile (height) will provide just as much head & neck support.

I go the dunlopillow (high, firm) recently and I'm still not satisfied with it.
I've ordered the classic plus (medium) and low and firm therapeutic pillow to try out. I can report back if anyone is interested.

    • I find the medium too high for me

    • Hi S2 - I'm interested in your feedback. How have you found the pillows? Are you a side sleeper?

      • +2

The low and firm therapeutic pillow is as firm as I like but too low. I am yet to find a second pillow that is the right height to lift it.
The classic plus is a nice height but far too soft for my liking.
So I have gone back to the high and firm dunlopillo - also on sale at harris scarf right now. I am a side sleeper, which I find this pillow services better than the other two although I would like it to be a little lower since I end up on my back by the morning and it is a little high for that.
I am guessing that a medium and firm dunlopillo is what I am actually after. The search continues.

I ordered the Classic on the last deal and have been very satisfied. I'm planning to order one for my wife now too. Can I confirm that I can still order a firm version of the Classic based on your comment on the last deal -https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11374773/redir

    Thanks

You certainly can - just add a note in the Comments section at the checkout. Thanks for your support & kind words.

      • Cheers, ordered one.

I've bought a few of these. I'm a big fan.

Hopefully this endorsement from a random internet person might help :)

    • Hi SirFibbled - your endorsement certainly have the TLC team a buck up on a Froday arvo. Thank you!

  • I bought a stop snore pillow from TLC recently and can't be happier - the best pillow I have in years, the pillow is very soft AND supportive. Initially I ordered the Therapeutic pillow and found it too firm, Amanda was very helpful and the swap was so smooth. Highly recommended!

  • Loving my Classic Plus (firm version). Paid $90. Two months deep.

Rep can you please advise what the TLC equivalent of the Dunlopillo Latex High Profile and Firm Feel would be? Thanks

I am disappointed with my latest Dunlopillo which, after about a year of use, has not retained its firmness. My previous one lasted a good 5 years but something seems to have gone downhill with the manufacturing in recent times.

Hi Qbagger - our comparable pillow is 'The High & Firm': https://www.tlclatexpillows.com.au/the-high-firm-extra-lengtā€¦
It is an awesome, abunant pillow & will not lose condition for a minimum 5 years (if kept out of direct sunlight). Well cared for it should last for more like 10 years. I hope this helps.

      • Thanks for that, I'll grab one!

  • I'm in my 30's but grabbed a Seniors pillow since it seems like a good height and softness, let's hope it does the trick.

Hi rel - we actually have many clients who use 'The Seniors' and also 'The Junior' despite not neccesarily falling into these name categories. 'The Seniors' is a lovely pillow - I am sure you will like it.

  • Hi Rep - how does The Classic compare with High & Soft? Is High & Soft significantly softer and allow the head to sink much lower? Or is the extra softness offset somewhat by the higher profile, resulting in both pillows offering similar feel / support?

    • 'The Classic' and 'The High & Soft' are different in length, density & profile so they do have a very different sleep feel. They are both traditional shape, but 'The High & Soft' is longer, higher & softer than 'The Classic'. So you are right in saying that 'The High & Soft' will compress more when you rest your head on it, and you are also right in saying that the extra profile offsets this compression somewhat.

Both pillows are supportive, as they are quality latex made using the Talalay method. The density difference is there, but it isnt extreme - like comparing soemthing hard with somthing soft. It is much more subtle. 'The High & Soft' is a more abundant pillow in length & height & really suits a side sleeper. 'The Classic' is more of an all rounder & is suitable for side & back sleeping, and even tummy sleeping for some.

      I hope this helps.

  • Hi rep - any idea what is the cheapest way for a regular person to mail two of these pillows (2.6kg)?

    • +1

In my experience (for both personal & commercial postage) Australia Post regular parcel post is the best option for price, speed & reliability.
