    Group buy not allowed.

I think they are if the deal is activated.

"deals that are active are allowed to be posted on Ozbargain"

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelineā€¦

    • eBay Group Buy is allowed as long as it is activated. The current Samsung Galaxy Nexus offer has been submitted at least twice before (on 18th and 19th), and were removed due to the fact that it was not activated then.

    • OK, so no ABN not allowed.

    Not really a bargain…

  • this phone (australian stock) was available last week on here for a similar price. think it was mobiciti ??

  • Which is a better phone, the Nexus, or the S2? The specs on this seem better (other than the camera), yet the S2 seems to cost more.

    • Nexus is the better phone in almost every area. Very few reasons to go the S2 over it.

      • Thats what I thought, odd the s2 is still priced at around $500.

I would say they are roughly even (the phones have differing strengths and weaknesses - Screen resolution, NFC vs GPU, Micro SD, Camera, etc - It has been discussed many times before) - but with that said, considering the Nexus is cheaper, I believe it represents better value for money.

        • OMG, didn't realise the Nexus doesnt have a microSD slot. Glad I've got the S2 then.

    • bigger and better resolution screen
when i bought my galaxy nexus they told me they have a lot in stock. seems like samsung are producing more and therefore cheaper

      • Battery life sucks though cos of larger screen.

    • Main differences

      S2 pros:
A bit smaller and lighter (116g vs 135g)
      Has a micro SD slot
Higher resolution cameras (8 MP vs 5 MP for main, 2MP vs 1.5MP for secondary)
Has Stereo FM radio with RDS
Probably longer battery life (Not as many pixels to drive, and GsmArena states official standby time on 3G is 610h vs 270h for Nexus)

      Nexus pros:
      Better screen resolution
      Has a barometer
      Usually gets updates earlier

      • So in reality a larger and higher res. screen is the only real plus for the Nexus. The price point is also good.

A few minds may change though from reports of the dismal battery life.

        • Yes, I should have pointed out 4.65in screen for the Nexus vs 4.3in for the S2

  • the s2 is a better phone afaik, cant back myself up with facts but i think that is the general feedback from the forums that i read.

Pretty much even imo, now they both have ICS. Nexus has a better screen, Galaxy has removable memory cards (which is huge to me, 16gb is just not enough)

      • Ditto re. the Micro SD.

    Common price on 3 sites….
    Eglobal has for $429
    Kogan where are you?
Mobiciti had 2 yr Australian warranty at this price!
    Shoppingsquare same price.
    Still seeking $400 include del

  • Wow, the galaxy nexus has gone to a stage where $430 'is not really a great deal'. Quite amazing. This phone is not even out for 12 months and was considered one of the best when it was released.

  • What do people think of the battery life… I heard it wasn't great when browsing the web which I do a fair bit on my phone.

    • sucks balls. have to charge it multiple times per day even with 1900mah battery
maybe cos its new and I'm playing with it regularly

    • You can do around 3 hours of web browsing before the battery dies. Not so good for travel or when you dont have access to a charger.

  • Wasnt this posted and then removed only a few days ago?

    • i think yes because it wasn't active at the time?

  • its grey import so not worth 430.

    • What's this?

    • Whats that ?
TheNextGalaxy ? Is it coming sooner than expected?

    • Just the S3 announcement!
They are not releasing any new phone in today.

Not really a bargain for a Hong Kong stuff… Australian stock is available for that price !

    • Where is Australian stock available for that price?

    • -1

      Yeah, where?

    • Oops… sorry guys for the boo-boo…Didn't realise it was a one day deal only but what I was referring to was the recent deal from MobiCity on OzBargain for Aussie stock for $419 Pickup (or $13.80 Ship)…

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/67964

I thought it was great deal…and I'm sure there must be more such deals coming really soon !

So why the neg, where can I get it cheaper?

EDIT: eGlobal has it for a couple bucks cheaper but transit insurance costs more. On eBay you are covered by eBay Buyer Protection (if you pay by PayPal) if something goes wrong.

  • With prices coming down, the Samsung Galaxy Note is now less than $100 more.
I would rather get the Note!

  • the note is too big to carry around as a day to day phone.

  • Sorry guys and mods, i thought it looked a good price but i reckon it ain't that good with all the deals you guys have stated above. Also thanks for informing me about the rules about posting ebay group deals.

COTD has it for $433.50 today inc shipping with SCOOPONSPECIAL coupon.

Alright. Someone just posted $428 delivered from Kogan.

Do note that both eBay Group Buy and Kogan won't give you a tax invoice with GST, whereas the MobileCiti one did. For business buyers (or those seeking TRS), you can't get your 1/11 rebated back from tax office…
