  • This was cheaper just few days ago via Amazon!
At this stage I would suggest just wait for few more weeks when s22 comes out if you are planning to get this.

        That's 4G not 5G

        • +1

The Amazon one I linked below is what h4zey refers to. 5g & Snapdragon

    • From memory that was the 4G version which in Australia features an Exynos CPU which leaves power users "wanting" compared to the Snapdragon version (this one) when it comes to performance and battery life.

        • +1

There ya go - didn't see that one haha thanks

          • @Dvbargain: I was tempted when I got the camels alert but I still want 3.5mm…

            • +1

@nismo: Almost tempted to buy for a family member too but reality is they'd be fine with an "A" version Samsung so I'll wait for the next deal on a decent one of those

              • +1

@Dvbargain: Yeah, the A52s 5G is tempting but I'd rather not get another 6.5inch mobile. Guess I'm waiting for the Asus Zenfone 8 to drop again!

  • SD865 is still the best Android SOC. TSMC is No.1.

    • +1

SD 888 and 8 Gen 1 are portable hand heaters.

    • So I should hang onto my oneplus 8 and not upgrade? Seems I'm stuck on Android 11…

      • +3

yes, according to many tests, the old SD865 has better performance in every game. Just keep your Oneplus 8 and hope Qualcomm will make TSMC soc next year. You can also keep eye on the coming MTK D9000, it has almost the same CPU architecture as SD but is made by the TSMC.

  • Doing a quick google suggest there is dual sim support? Or it’s a different version all together?

    • +1

The dual SIM variants typically have different product codes, you may be looking for SM-G781BZBG

      • Thanks Phil!

  • $799.20 for the S21 128GB on the corporate partner/government Samsung portal. I'd rather pay the extra $120 to get the S21 I think.

  • Not that cheap and you have to deal with Digidirect.

    • Not really. It's an ebay purchase. Given that, I have bought a few camera and a few other accessories from them and had zero issues.

      • Dodgy vendors can be dodgy on ebay. They just don't deliver and then cancel your order under "Buyer asked to cancel the order".

  • Keep in mind that the s21 will get an extra 1.5 years of software support over this. Might be worth spending the extra $100 or so to get that instead.

    • I'm not seeing a S21 or S21 FE for much less than $1000 - so that's over $300 more.
