I don't want to weld in the first place!
Why?
Perfect gift for Scomo he just needs to know how to use an auto darkening helmet.
I wonder if he has permanent black spots in his vision now after that.
Bought! Thanks op. What does this thing do by the way? How it’s different to the one posted last night:)
the one from last night is MIG, so if you use gasless wire it feeds the wire , so once feed rate is adjusted, easy to weld, this is an ARC welder, need to be able to strike an arc and manually feed the rod at the right rate …… much more difficult ….. many arc welders now are invertors …. has smarts to make striking arc easier ….
if you have never welded you want the MIG ….
Thanks you

I have one of this. Totally disaster when I first used it. Don't think I would ever welding again.
What went wrong?
sorterx can no longer produce offspring…
They're a popular band, even now. They'll have no issue finding a new producer.
@MasterScythe: ok 😕
Dont let that put you off welding
Either buy an inverter stick welder if your not going to weld anything under 2-3mm
or mig if you want to weld thin stuffThese cheap inverters just love to stick and have horrible arc
this isn't an invertor …… it's a transformer based welder ….
stack with $10 loyalty voucher sent the other week, $10 cashback from Commbank rewards and 1.7% cashrewards or shopback….
Based on the comments above beginners shouldn’t get this? Go for mig instead. Last nights one is gone so keep an eye out for another cheap Mig??
Will the PM come around and show me how to use it?
Then you will have blind leading the blind
Just tried stick Arc stick welding for the first time, 2 days ago, after watching some youtube video. After 1st 2 sticks wasted from practice, I felt that I can weld anything (so long as cosmetic is of no concern- :)), didn't even have sticking problem after that.
Make sure you have the helmet and glove and long sleeve clothing as protection.
these are great if you would like to never want to weld again :)
