Switch to Red Energy & Get up to 15,000 Qantas Points, a Share of 3 Million Qantas Points, 2 Points Per $1 Spend via Qantas

210

Looks like a rehash of this deal previously https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/669846
Bigger share of points up for grabs at 3m vs 2m previously.

Switch to 100% Australian owned Red Energy on a Qantas Red Saver plan for your chance to win a share of 3 million Qantas Points:
There’s 100,000 Qantas Points to be won in one of our daily draws, plus you’ll automatically be entered into a last chance draw to win 200,000 Qantas Points*
You'll also earn up to 15,000 bonus Qantas Points when you switch^
Plus, 2 Qantas Points per $1 on every bill paid on time^

I believe based off the last time there was referal bonus too, so might be worth checking that out or if there's a Referal code on the Red Energy page here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/redenergy.com.au

There is a referral bonus of a $50 gift card for both people but I don't think it's a code or anything, pretty sure you have to invite them via email which is why it's setup a bit different on OzB.

    • I just signed up and there was an option to select were you refered by a friend, you had to input their account number etc.
So i'm guessing the ozb referal sends a pm to people that have listed in there etc so they can share up an account number via PM.
Worth while for it, i think it's $50 and some points or one or the other…

Would you like to refer me too?

You can send me a private message

        • You’ll need to turn on messaging I think but hit me up if you can I have dms open

For those interested, I got 779 Qantas points total in the last share of 2m points.

Edit: seems to be a different point allocation with this deal.

  • Can you switch to them and switch out again?
Does this affect your credit rating much?

I did this. Got the points deposited after the cooling off period and then switched back to my old provider after they offered a better deal. No credit check recorded.

  • Do you need to switch for both electricity and gas? Also I think the $50 referral bonus may be applicable for electricity switches only.

my god thats an awful deal in SA.
Its RRP is higher than Origin

  • 10,000 FF for electricity and 5000 FF for gas

  • Almost enough one way points to Perth from Sydney.
But a very expensive energy supplier.

  • Were initially cheap but switch houses and you can't keep any cheap plan. Bye bye.

  • And existing customers get fark all
Yes getting points when paying bill I know.

    • Actually, Red Energy held my solar feed in tariff at 8.5c/kWh despite dropping it to 6c/kWh not long after when I signed up in the middle of last year.

  • Red Energy will overcharge you and then said its projection. Check out comparison electricity and get government cash $250 instead.

Switched to reamped energy from red as it was way cheaper

  • I’ve switched last year in November, however I still didn’t received my first bill, is that correct?
