What are your terms & conditions and refund policy? What is your ABN? Can't find these important info on your website.

Hey there 90381436929 is my ABN

Sorry refund policy was hidden as it's still semi draft. I've made it visible now.

Another Jacob Burns? Not sure but 15% is not a big deal! Pablo’s & Rusty’s offer from time to time 50% off the first 3 subscription deliveries. Other roasters even delivered 3 times coffee totally free (Barty or Timely Coffee). Ah yes and there was Jacob Burns with his subscription mess who canceled all orders after seeing he can’t deal with running a business. I can only highly recommend Sicilia coffee, no subscription mess no bs, just great coffee for a great price. This here is total expensive and not necessary to spend so much money. Check out Sicilia coffee, an honest business here: https://www.siciliacoffee.com.au/

Thanks for the welcoming dose of negativity.

I'm well aware of what other roasters offer. When you buy direct from a roaster you will always get a better deal, they have far more room in their margin to offer discounts. This is because they are the manufacturer of the goods. I'm a retailer and sell multiple roasters. When you buy from p&r or Campos or single O you only get their coffee. If that's all you want, then great so be it. If you want variety, I'll help you out :)

If you want to learn more about this here's a post on Reddit where I had to break it down for all the warriors complaining it was too expensive. It goes into great detail. https://www.reddit.com/r/Adelaide/comments/st2mgy/adelaides_…

I read the whollllle Jacob Burns thread. Very unfortunate with an even more unfortunate ending
I don't think he had any Ill intentions, he's just new to the game and trying hard to build awareness for his business, he's supporting some great roasters.

That's why I've done a modest discount and capped the uses to 50. I know what volume I can manage and I know what margin I can forefeit without going backwards.

I don't know Sicilia and it sound suspiciously like you're in cahoots with them. I will say this though: if you're buying coffee that cheap you're enabling exploitation of coffee farmers. How the f&$k can a roaster make any money off $17kg let alone the farmer.

OP - best wishes with your new venture.

OzB can be a bear pit, and getting cranky early is likely to alienate potential buyers.

Hint - put up 1 or 2 coffees with a pretty special price, and give us the price. When you read the T&Cs of posting, one of those was to tell us the price, not just the discount.

And suggest you read up on Lime Blue coffee and Sicilia coffee

Thanks for the pointers! I'll update the post.

    Thank you for being helpful!

I had looked at Sicilia after it was mentioned. After 10 years working in the coffee industry I know for a fact that you cannot sell coffee for $17 a kilo and expect everyone in the supply chain to be rewarded ethically. Please feel free to ask any questions I enjoy educating on this matter!

Sorry if I came off negatively to anyone reading. Not really sorry to anyone who comes in aggressively like that. You don't walk into a shop speak to the owners/staff like that not having ever walked in there before.

Good luck with your venture. This place can be pretty rough and most here only appreciate the final price and little else. But I think your little thing above is out of place as you're the one who walked in here.

That's a good point. I retract that statement then.

I will say this: I'm just a young guy with a young family trying to make a dream come true.

I'll leave it up to those who chose to post that sort of dialog to to check in with their moral compass and see if it sits well with them.
