  • Wollies doesn't offer 5G, i've been with Woolworth for the past 2 years on 4G (contract expires next month) and my experience is not the greatest, but then again…you get what you pay for ..

    • No VoLTE or VoWiFi either IIRC. The 3G network is used for voice calls, and based on our experience with Belong, it's pretty cr@p…

    • That's what they told me too, but then last week my Oppo picked up 5G.

      • my Oppo picked up 5G

But you only got 3G speed.

    any trade-in bonus like JB has 450 $ ?

    • Does not look like, they just offered $20 wish card for Samsung A70.

    • I have a Woolworths Everyday Rewards card, like I guess many here do. Check your emails, they're sending offers for S22 range with discounts.

  • One downside of Samsung amalgamating the note and S release, 6 months to go on my woolies contract with my old note

JB should have a telstra deal soon, just want a 5g plan for a 5g phone.

    24mth is so long..

so 5g phone with 4g plan?

    • 5G phone + 5G plan, I don't think you could get 5G speeds. I am on Telstra 12 month $99 plan.

    • Virtually all new phones are 5G, even cheap ones. I'm on WW mobile and don't have any need for faster that 4G speeds, it instantly plays HD vidoes etc. Pay about $16pm (paid annually) and save $20 to $40pm on a Woolies Shop!

  • Woolies Telstra seems to have less towers than Boost Telstra. Woolies been OK for cities but regional has been found wanting.

    • +2

Woolies, Aldi and other telstra resellers don't get full access to the telstra 4g network, whereas Boost does (ie including Band 28/4gx)

  • Doesn't seem to be good value for the standard S22, less so for the S22+.

Much cheaper buying the phone elsewhere (even full-price pre-order + bonus Tab A8 & Disney+ at Telstra) and getting a large long expiry plan.

  • I will join when there are 12 months contracts.

  • I feel almost all deals that does not involve getting the phone outright is probably not worth it, am I wrong on this?
