When a vacuum can only do so much, it’s time to break out the Bissell Auto Spot Cleaner. This carpet and upholstery washer functions just like a professional carpet cleaner, without the hassle of having to store one! Being compact and easy to use, you’ll never hesitate to grab it for a quick clean whenever a spill or mess occurs. Even traditional messy areas such as around a baby seat, or muddy footprints in a four-wheel drive pose no problem for the Bissell. In the box alongside the unit you’ll find three handy attachments. A 2-in-1 crevice tool, a 3-in-1 tool for flat, curved and corner areas, and the larger 15cm tough stain tool. With these, you’ll find far more uses than just the car! Use it on the couch, the rug, or spot stains on carpets. With a tank full of fresh warm water, and some Bissell spot and stain remover – just spray the solution on and suck the stains right out of the surface. An inbuilt heater keeps your clean water at the perfect temperature. Dirty water is deposited in the other tank, and you won’t believe how mucky it can get!For the really tough stains, a splash of oxy boost and a gentle scrubbing with the built-in brush will make all the difference. In the end, every part of the unit packs away onto itself. Delightfully compact and ready for action the next time there’s a mess

Thank you for saving me $190.
I think if you live in an apartment with limited space and want something for spot cleaning only, this is fine, but a bit expensive.
I haven't used mine since getting a cheap wet/dry vac.
Correct, these things are useless. Noisy, hose too short, don't suck at all.
Find a wet/dry shop vac on Gumtree/marketplace and pair it with one of these and you'll have a much better time: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002097779917.html
Mix up some carpet cleaner in a bottle, spray it on, agitate with a brush and suck it up
Totally agree. Regret wasting my money.
Neg? Where can I get it cheaper?
Came to write this. Just borrowed one to do one single bedroom. Waaay too small and just not a fun time overall. I would think people are much better off with the way larger, cheaper ones.
But it literally has spot clean in its name? I don't have this specific model but I have a Bissell spot clean and it's great when you have kids or pets that spill/vomit/poop on the carpet or sofa. If I was trying to do a room I'd rent the proper ones from bunnings.
I understand it's not intended for a carpet, but having used other wet & dry vacs I just feel there are way better options on the market.
@Hinee: So other wet and dry vacs are as convenient for tiny spills?
What about for use cleaning a car though?
Works great for me.
That's what I originally bought mine for and it worked but due to low suction it took too long and sent me deaf in the process.
Then I found that I could get a shop vac plus all the bits needed to turn it into a carpet extractor for less than half the price, so I returned mine.
Each to their own - we have a lot of rugs, two dogs and a cat - a couple of months ago one of the dogs did the worst projectile vomit I've ever seen, across three different rugs (two of which are long-pile, one of which is white) and I would have been totally at a loss if it wasn't for this machine - there's not even any marks visible after cleaning and drying. It was a total lifesaver for me.
Same here - works fine.
Bear in mind it is really a spot cleaner, but would be fine for a car. I used it to clean 2 spots inside with pet stains and worked great (and I already had a VAX wet/dry carpet vac/cleaner - this is lots easier for small stuff
Please go over the Amazon and see rating stars and reviews, maybe your device is faulty!
I agree, it's useless. I regret buying one. Don't be like me.
Yeah agree with each to their own. I bought the larger version of this and helped me lots when there was recent flooding in the back room. Soaked up the wet carpet beautifully. It was worth to get the bigger model.
What larger version? They are all the same size, just different colour schemes and accessories.
This is the larger version: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/bissell-spotclean-turbo-15582
What wet and dry vaccum do you recommend? Does cheap one work? I want occasionally to clean my bedrooms carpets.
Any of the drum style ones with the castor wheels on the bottom will do
Extra points if it has a drain bung plug for easy emptying if you are cleaning a big area
Edit:
It will however be a lot easier to just occasionally rent a machine from Bunnings
You're using it wrong i'd say.
Borrowed my brother's one last weekend to clean our dining chairs and the difference is night and day. Dilute some Chemical Brothers Lightning Fast in a spray bottle, clean with a brush then extract with the machine. 10 years of human slime removed in 40mins.
Those of you wanting to clean an entire room are kidding yourselves. Say it with me…….SPOT clean.
Also brilliant for cars.
100% agree. The claims of a heater to keep water temp are false. It's just heat from the motor. Won't actually heat water from cold. And it's cumbersome. I bought and sold it within 2 weeks. Now the cordless version is a different story. Much more convenient, not ridiculously noisy, no need for a power point.
Thanks for the warning.
I always wait for some feedback comments before putting the trigger.
Is the sca toolpro 10l wet dry vacuum better than this?
I don't understand people's issues with these. I use mine for car detailing and small spot cleaning around the house which is what it is perfect for. I've cleaned so many would be stains with mine, it has paid for itself tenfold. What I would not use it for is cleaning a whole rooms carpet….obviously.
There is a slightly larger model which the detail geek on YouTube uses if anyone is interested in how well they work.
The only problem I have with mine is how quickly the dirty side fills up. I usually have a bucket with it just for easy emptying.I've never used one but I've seen one used several times for car detailing and they seem good. From comments here though people seem to be trying to use them to do carpets for full dwellings etc which is just too big a job for a "spot cleaner".
Same here I have used mine with a drill brush to clean up dog vomit in the car and has worked great.
Love my spot cleaner - use it for detailing cars (carpets, mats) and does a fantastic job. The crevice tools are great to odd shaped areas in cars. Lent it to my sister and she loves it for little cleanups of her kids mess. If you're looking for something to do your entire house, look elsewhere.
beware this unit is bloody loud! Have to wear earmuffs to use it in the car
Get the longer hose model.
I’ve got one of these and they are a lifesaver. Milk leak from groceries in car… fixed. Cat/dog vomit inside in carpet… fixed. Split coffee, beer, coke, ice… fixed.
Interested what cheap alternatives there are. The compact size is a plus if you’re only using it for spot cleans. (Less space to store it)
Anyone know if the turbo model is any better - thinking of getting one for the couch and occasional carpet spill
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/678567I got this. Was worth the extra $$ for larger capacity when sucking up recent flooded carpet. Saved the trips to dump it.
I have this model and love it! It does a fantastic job of spot cleaning and detailing the car and cleaning furniture. I have used it to do whole rooms of carpet a couple of times. Given that’s not what is meant to do it was slow but it did a great job.
Highly recommend it!
Every time these come up on sale, I have an urge to warn people. I so regret buying mine. It is noisy, and has very poor suction. I've sent mine back to the repair centre, and it is no better. The only good thing about it is the small size.
Get a proper wet / dry vac. Even at $80 I would not buy it again
