Twice the price for twice the battery life. That's about it.

Have a read about LC3 and LC3 Plus low latency codec, and just get some nice, new Bluetooth headphones in a few months (finally).

    • Twice the price of what, the 3D pulse? Double the price would be worth it for the comfort factor alone & Bluetooth headphones aren't compatible with PS5.

      • The Arctis 7 2019 model when on regular sale via Amazon (lowest I think is $140).

The performance between all three the same, just the 7P is USB-C, and the 7P+ has double the battery life.

        • OK, lowest I've seen the OG 7p was low 200s.

        • Only the 7P+ has USB C, the 7P uses a micro USB connector.

For anyone wondering, the 7P+ is a minor revision update which adds USB C and better battery life, but is otherwise identical to the 7P.

The 7P is better value for money if you don’t mind the micro USB connector.

@deadpoet: The 7P has a USB-C wireless dongle and a USB-C ended cable, but not a USB-C port in the headset itself, correct.

I would go so far as to say the original 7 may work fine with the 7P dongle should you need USB-C connectivity.

            • @jasswolf: Apologies, thanks for the correction — I did not know the 7P has a USB C wireless dongle and cable. It's bizarre that they didn't provide a USB C port in the headset itself as well.

              • @deadpoet: Given the demand for such items lately, lots of products have been rushed out with new features that don't require heavy R&D.

So they tested the dongle, then essentially re-released the original headphone, then continued development to get the longer battery life. Eventually it will be a Bluetooth 5.2 headset.

They make more money, people get what they want, everyone's happy supposedly. For mine, proper audio gear will start thrashing this product class soon, and at better price points.
