      Yup.

      Factoring in delivery to Sydney:

Mwave: $769.50 including a bonus free genuine Apple iPhone 4/4S dock
      Wacom: $775.76
      This deal: $780.00

      • as this guy says

      • Also, unless you're need it urgently, you're probably better of just waiting until Dell offers one of their regular discounts (where you should be able to get it for $720 or less): http://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/u2711

      • cheaper as stated above with bonus dock.

Don't these go to like $500-700 or so on Dell sales every now and again?

    Edit: yep,
    $629 - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/50503
    $719 - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/64371

    • Yeah, $629 is a brilliant bargain for these. I bought two last time they were that price, and they're just awesome.

  • No deal here.

  • This would be a deal, back in 2010. Welcome to 2 years ago!

Not a deal but if you guys are desperate for a a 27" QHD IPS have a look on ebay for Shimian, Achieva or Catleap monitors. Pretty much taking the bad panels that don't make the cut for the apple cinema displays and are resold for ~$350+.

    BUT..
    - warranty is next to nothing
    - pixel policy is terrible, 5+ outer edges and 1+ centre to refund (shipping back to korea is about $100)

I took the gamble and ended up with a perfect monitor, just hope it stays that way.

    • What the quality of the unit like?

      • I bought the Crossover version, the casing of the monitor is pretty solid ie no creaking and has a metal back. The stand it came is ok i guess, its enough to hold the monitor (although I have mine on a desk arm 100mm vesa).

You have to ask yourself if you are willing to buy a panel for ~$350 with the possibility of having dead pixels, and if something goes wrong, you have to pay ~$100 to ship it back to korea.

The only other option is to buy the apple cinema display 27" for ~$1000+. Or get this Dell U2711 and peel off the AG coating (thus voiding your warranty).

You get what you pay for. More if you get a perfect panel….

  • NO DEAL!

  • love how these guys dont do research… almost everytime when a rep posts first time

  • If you are located in the Inner West (Sydney) and can pick up - we will offer it for $750.00 if purchased in store.

A good deal if there aren't any DELL SPECIAL OFFERS around. I doubt it considering they just signed up local IT distributors.

    • $750 in store and $780 with free shipping doesnt quite work.
