    Anything good

  • +2

Awesome deal on the SSD, pity they don't have stores in VIC for pickup.

    • +3

shame the shipping kinds of kills it as some items just come slightly cheaper than going to officeowrks and getting them there today.

  • -5

So we need an Afterpay account first right?

  • Done. Thanks OP!!!

128gb dual sandisk usb stick $10 delivered

    • Code doesn't work unless $30 for item (excluding delivery)

      • Ah right I see

  • +1

Not all-time low but it's currently the lowest after $20 discount that I can find for Asus B550-I and free delivery!

Is that a Mini-ITX motherboard and will fit into a NR200P case?

      • +1

Yep definitely. Would fit in easily. Highly recommend if you have ryzen 5 CPU

Thanks mate but am I better off buying a motherboard with X570 chipset over a B550 motherboard? I want to build a desktop for running MS Office and some video editing (no gaming). Does this X570 motherboard look any good:
          https://www.umart.com.au/product/asrock-x570-phantom-gaming-…

I googled and found this information : When picking the best Ryzen 5 5600G motherboard, you have two main options. You can either go with the X570 chipset or the B550 chipset. The X570 is the top-of-the-line variant that comes with PCIe Gen4 chipset uplink and general-purpose lanes. The B550 motherboard is more consumer-oriented and supposedly budget-friendly. Both chipsets feature PCIe Gen4 for the graphics card and storage. Both chipsets also feature USB 3.1 Gen2, support overclocking, and dual graphics cards. Talking about the general design, the X570 motherboards come with a chipset fan while the B550 motherboards do not.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: The advantage of having an X570 mobo compared to B550 IMO is only more USB ports and overclock if you are using a CPU like 5900x. Not sure which X570 mobo you are looking into but for example, the Asus X570 one has two drawbacks that I don't like:
            * X570 doesn't provide access to the front case USB-C port (which wouldn't be an issue for you if you are using NR200P case)
            * even though X570 has chipset fans, sometimes the noise is intolerable (someone also mentioned this issue here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/681722)

So unless you need a crazy amount of USB ports on the I/O, I don't recommend paying extra for the X570 mobo.

get the gigabyte aorus b550i on ebay . it is around 220+ after discount. not sure if the 10% off is still on.

the b550i is also highly rated alongside the asus strix

          U going 5600g? U don't need a top board.

Besides we were talking about itx mobo so seems like no point for a X570i since it's so small. The b550i came out later so it's actually more updated than the X570i.

If u insist on x570 for atx then go msi tomahawk. I have it and it's good. Kinda wasted on a 5600g tho.

          • @MaxHashrate: x570 has a fan on the mainboard too - runs hotter. Went for B550 because of that

$19 for the 256gb of the same SSD. Thanks grabbed one

    • +1

Got the same, needed something just a little larger than 128gb so $9 more for double the capacity works out nicely.

    • Likewise and added an SSD enclosure to use with my Android TV (came with a pitiful 4GB on-board memory)

    • Ya, why not. 256g portable ssd is handy.

  • Thanks got mk270 keyboard and mouse combo

    coercion to commit usury?

    • There is no interest charged on the loans, so it's not usury. The Catholic Church would approve.

      • obviously they want you to lapse on the payment otherwise there'd be nothing in it for them.

        • Afterpay charge the merchant something like 6% fee, so compared to their payment processing fee which must be something like 1% Afterpay are making 5% on all transactions. You buy a $100 boots with Afterpay, Afterpay make $5 profit.

Just a reminder that its for "First AfterPay Purchase" so those that have used AfterPay previously this code may not work for you

    • +3

Hmm I've used Afterpay before and it still works for me. Just made an order few mins ago.

      • +2

Have used afterpay and afterpay discounts in the past and worked for me too, so must be per store.

    • +9

      Per “vendor” or website normally

    • Yeah might be an error. They said it in the banner but I could use the coupon even though it wasn't my first AfterPay purchase.

    • I just used it twice to buy noctua fans.

Just once per email. But u can use the Afterpay I assume as much as possible till the limit.

I used the same Afterpay account.

  • Any good recommendations for a USB-C adapter for HDMI. Maybe with some bells and whistles.

Spent 20 minutes looking through the website trying to justify buying something for the sake of the discount

  • Grabbed a creative pebble speaker for $10. Good deal!

    • +3

Nice! I did the same and added a $2 ethernet cable to get me over the $30.

      • I did a $1 Ethernet cable and it still gave me the discount

  • +2

Just got this, https://www.umart.com.au/product/silicon-power-7-in-1-usb-c-…, pretty cheap.

    $32 total including $7 delivery.

    • Is it good price. I am looking at same but click and collect not possible. So just thinking if worth with delivery cost.

      • +1

I had a look around, $32 with delivery is worth it, can't find it cheaper elsewhere. I can't be bothered doing click and collect at West Ryde. My time is worth more than $7.

    • Just ordered one too :)

    • This one has ethernet port for $3 more. Any thoughts on the brand?

      • +1

The brand is just some cheap Chinese one, I have some of their products, still works, so I guess its good.

I have no use for a hub with an ethernet port.

  • +5
    • Will it work in any laptop?

      • Pulled the trigger for an old 2012 laptop :D

        • It's a desktop wifi card

          • @Hellcrusher3304: I have a server that doesn't have WiFi, I can put it there. What about a laptop card?

            • @sqheaven: I think I can also put it in the laptop, I guess.

              • +1

@sqheaven: You can, if you have the right port, but getting the antenna to work would be tricky. This product is designed for a desktop, not a laptop.

It even says so in the name, "Desktop kit".

      • No. There's basically two physical formats for cards commonly used in laptops, half-mini PCIe and M2. This card is an M2 style. They don't fit into the same slots.

See the first image here that shows the different form factors.

        https://thetechnologyland.com/best-m2-wifi-card-laptop-wirel…

        • Thanks for sharing this, from the photos I can probably tell that m2 will not even fit on the server I have Hp Proliant Gen10.

The PCIe Full/Half mini might fit, as per the notch in the connector. Guess I need to cancel my order :S

    • New to this, I have a b450m mortar max motherboard, will this be compatible?

    • Thanks, got this. This should fit any PCI-e slot right?

I bought a giant mouse pad for $29: Cooler Master MP511 Mouse Pad XXL

I have been wanting one since my $4.99 Xiaomi from this deal is now looking a little tired (free advice: don't eat at your desk).

I shall miss the, "Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen", motivational print staring back at me every day! /s

    • +1

I did the same thing with a Razer Gigantus V2 XXL for $28 pick-up.

It still feels a bit overpriced when there are generic ones shipped for $16 on Amazon, but I'm hoping for the extra money Razer can deliver a mousepad that doesn't come pre-creased and poorly stitched, as well as maybe having better a mouse glide feeling.

      • Nice one. I like the green rubber! I’m not sure how I’ll go with the stitched edges on the CM as my $4.99 Xiaomi doesn’t have them.

I find the inconsistency between manufacturer size labelling really annoying. My XXL is way bigger than yours! 😝 I looked at the Razers, but would have to spend double to get the same size as the CM. Why can’t they have the same labelling for roughly the same dimensions.

At least this discount brings the price down to a reasonable sum and we have more recourse if there is a manufacturing defect than with an eBay or AliEx generic (noting they also have bad designs in large format).

        • Plus wfh tax deduction I would have thought

Perfect timing, was looking for webcam and ordered https://www.umart.com.au/product/logitech-hd-c270-webcam-175… for $29

  • MSI B450M Mortar Max $75 Delivered after the afterpay discount, great board for someone who just need a budget performance build.
    https://www.umart.com.au/product/msi-b450m-mortar-max-am4-ma…

It'll go well with the recent Ryzen 5600G processor, considering the processor is limited to PCIe Gen 3 anyway, so the B450 PCIe 3.0 limit won't be much of a concern.

    Silicon Power DDR4 3200MHz CL16 16GB (2x8GB), $75 after discount:

Can't believe no one has had a look at this. With a Ethernet cable for $11.
    https://www.umart.com.au/product/cyberpower-8-port-surge-pro…

    • I have 3 of these with no major issues, but there is mixed feedback on them. Cannot argue with $11 though.

    • Thanks for sharing, picked one up.

    • $25 in WA bought 2 for $30

  • Same. I actually think $11 is worth it. Nothing else on the market at this price with these features.

    • +1

$11 ex shipping. My $31 order was $10 shipping cost.

  • do we need to qualify/sign up for Afterpay first? i tried a similar voucher deal thru Ebay, got through checkout ok but then next day i get an email from Ebay saying i needed to resend the payment as Afterpay cancelled the transaction, I contacted Afterpay but the cs was so bad they could barely communicate so i never found out the exact reason as to why.

    • Yes u do

  • You know you're a nerd when you like having a spare PSU at home, for $39 after code, I think this is a go:
