@alvian: Yes, virtual surround sound…. it's not physical 5.1 and not even physical surround sound. Hence "surround sound". Technically it would be worse "surround sound" than headphones.

That's a weird product most people use headsets and pretty much everybody plays online with friends

TV soundbars are already "meh" for the most part (narrow stereo field, small and tinny drivers, etc), I can't imagine this would be any better. I'd recommend just a regular stereo or stereo + sub combo from Edifier with correct speaker placement over this any day
