I bought this 10m fibre optic cable to connect my BenQ W2700 to the NVIDIA shield from AliExpress. It has good reviews and works fine with 4K HDR 60fps videos. Don't forget cashback.

Useful only for longer cables. Probably over 5m.
Ever heard of a projector that requires a longer run where regular cables might not work properly?
Ever heard of mounting your full tower PC to the ceiling? LOL
I'll mount you to the ceiling in a minute
@TEER3X: You'll so what to him on the ceiling…
@Sheep Whisperer: How do you know it's a "him"?
Doesn't matter anyway, I don't discriminate.
I just mounted my house to the ceiling! Lol
These cables are directional just FYI if it’s your first.
I once had a call-out for someone with that problem. They had done a really difficult install through the roof, only to discover it wasn't working. This isn't the sort of thing I normally do, but they knew me and I was close by, so I got the call.
This one looks a bit better, it clearly says "source" on one end. My one was marked but with smaller text, and the contractor who installed it didn't know that some cables can be uni-directional, so he didn't check first.
This is why you run conduit first.
Well the main reason is so you can much easily swap out cables or add more down the road as needed.
run conduit first
Wasn't possible in this case. Heritage building, negligible roof space, no crawl space for much of the distance. I think they used a fish tape and had to curve it around obstacles.
Also, the ends on this cable wouldn't negotiate a 90-degree bend, and they look a bit wider than standard HDMI plugs, so conduit larger than 25mm would be required.
Any good for ps5 ? Looking to future proof a run between rooms.
"Several funny modes"
Gotta love foreign product translations. Can some one share exp. how 10m fiber optic perform compared to normal 10m HDMI. Are the extra bucks worth it? Bunnings sells normal 10m for 15 bucks.
Normally, 10m hdmi cable can't deliver 8k and 4k 60hz.
Is this an active cable?
Pretty active as a skip rope
Pretty expensive as a skipping rope.

For those needing longer lengths and a local retailer, I bought this and have had success with it doing 1440p 144hz.

I picked up a 15m USB cable for my peripherals and am really please with how clean my set up is.
Umm I'm trying to think use for this over any ordinary HDMI cable👍😁
