    Do ppl still use soap?

    • +6

When you have kids that go through liquid soap like a fat kid goes through a cupcake, you go back to bar soap pretty quick

  • +1

Ya'll love that basic bitch soap huh?

    • +2

Haven't seen this much soap since my stint at Long Bay Correctional Centre.

    • +1

Actually I use Sapoderm (anti bacterial soap). But these cheapies are good for the hand basin.

Tyler Durden has entered the chat.

People still buy soap? I have not bought a bar since John Howard was PM. (maybe Keating?)

The synthetic liquid stuff is better on the skin, less work, and does not leave a mess on the shower screen.

Screw that, man-made all the way baby.

    These are useless.

They used to contain triclosan but now don't contain any anti-bacterial agent. Try a medicated soap instead, such as Gamophen which contains triclosan.

    • +8

No soaps should contain triclosan. It should be banned.
We aren't supposed to live entirely free of bacteria, we are made of it. Soap exists to aid cleaning off dirt and reducing bacteria by washing it with water away.
Triclosan contributes to development of super bugs as it builds resistance by constant exposure to antibacterial agents.

"Bans already exist in other parts of the world, such as the United States, who in 2016 banned the use of triclosan and 18 other antimicrobial chemicals from its household soap products." - https://anmj.org.au/antibacterial-soaps-are-fuelling-superbu…

    • Yep, Gamophen or Sapoderm. Buy these cheapies are good for the hand basin.

    Cleaned out.

FFS guys stop preordering! These don't come with any good DLC or limited edition content!

  • +8

I used to be addicted to soap. I've been clean for over a year now.

  • didn't realise soap in a block was still a thing

    • Yes you did.

  • I did not notice that Triclosan was removed from the ingredients. That's the thing that acts as a deodorant because it fights germs. I did not need to use additional underarm deodorant before but I noticed I need it now.

      I reiterate as per above:

No soaps should contain triclosan. It should be banned.

Everyone, please stop this crazy obsession with antibacterials - we are mammals for goodness sake!
