Ya - the Coles Simply Dishwashing is $1.40 per litre, just over 1/3 the price per litre. Choice rating 65%.
Anecdata, it's better than the coles dishwashing soap but not 2.5x better. Don't understand how Choice rated them equal
I wouldn't take anything Choice states as gospel, they've made some very bad calls on whitegoods historically.
I have tried to use home branded dishwashing liquid — it just doesn't cut through grease with the same power. Fairy is the stuff that works.

IME Morning Fresh is garbage these days. It's on par with homebrand soap.
I trusted Choice years ago when products could not use their name for advertising, not anymore
Only one I buy these days is Aldi Power Soak - choice rates it one of the highest. I can attest it is great at attacking grease! Better than Morning Fresh by a mile.
Such a bargain for that public toilet hand soap smell at home.
