@Jackson - Can you do delayed dispatch mate?
Would like this too, just opened Roosevelt the other day
Ditto
Would like to know too.
With most of their sales they don't do delayed dispatch
Delayed dispatch unavailable sorry
Any deals coming up in the coming week?
Sure is!
Deal going live on OzB now for Tuesday 6pm.
@Jackson14: Awesome. Ill be grabbing some more beans.
Great coffee, had good experiences with delivery to Sydney metro.
As long as you don't dox our email addresses, I'm in.
@OP, when is the Roosevelt coming back again on sale?
Well I am In, because my free 20kg free coffee has been cancelled /joking
Timely deal!
Great coffee. Will place another order. At least I feel safe that my email won't be exposed to hundreds of random people.
The title is misleading. It's not free shipping at all if you just want what's in the title, one bag of coffee, and you don't live in Victoria. Pretty sure Aus post charge same Shipping amount to any capital city so that's another weird condition. Free shipping is only over $50.
They might have an alternate carrier for local deliveries 🙃
Yep they do they're called Xpress 2 you, have always arrived in a timely manner to me in Vic, my only complaint is they don't seem to know what a doorbell is or that it's customary to ring it when leaving a package.
This is my go to coffee beans now when 50% off with free delivery. Tried Roosevelt but prefer this with the stronger taste.
Love this roast, really enjoyed the last bag I got!
Will this business send my email to their customers as well or?
Do people still use their personal email for this type of transactions? Ive used burners for about 10 years or so. Rookie move using your own.
Where do you draw the line at a reputable business.
I don’t really care about reputable businesses as ALL businesses are out for money, and if selling your data gets that little bit extra, they will.
Just like the rubbish competitions on this website. I created a burner for a competition once, a reputable company, and no word of a lie, within 72hours, I had over 620 spam emails. Can’t trust anyone!
The title is misleading. It's only free shipping in Victoria.
Edit: just noticed homebeerlover mentioned it already.
Any tips for achieving 1.5 ratio with 30 second draw without going over pressure? That seems quite difficult but I'm still relatively new to this
Kind of impossible without knowing all the variables… what machine, what basket size, what dose, what grinder etc.
To answer simply, grind finer. Although if it's a domestic appliance type machine it may not be able to produce a decent cup at finer grind size.
If you can't fit 21g in the basket without smashing the puck (You'll need a big double or even a triple basket) when you load it, then maybe go for 18g in 27g out in ~30 seconds and add less water/milk.
I have a Breville Infuser, so 18g basket, so yes was going to go for 27g out.
I can do 25-30 sec pulls but only at a ratio of 1:2. If I went a lower ratio and aimed for the same time I'm not sure I could keep all the other variables in check
You'll be lucky to actually get what you ordered ordered twice off these clowns both times sent wrong quantities out
They are hopeless
I've ordered from multiple times and always had good experiences.
How old is roast?
27th January 2021. Roasted fresh for dispatch.
This is a brilliant blend. I've tried many in a similar price range, and this is absolutely worth hitting up.
How’s this for espresso? I thought single origin is the only bean to go for?
Quite the opposite. While single origin coffee can be used for espresso, most cafes will use an espresso blend as their house coffee.
By blending coffee beans, roasters are able to tweak particular taste profiles to better meet the needs of the cafe/customers. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, etc. The result is a well rounded espresso shot which can be used in different types of coffee drinks.
Single origin, on the other hand, provides flavour profiles which are unique to that particular area. For example, if beans from a particular part of Columbia are chocolaty and bold, those that like milk based coffees will enjoy this. This type of coffee may be suited to milk coffees more than black. Similarly, Ethiopian coffee is generally drunk black because it has strong fruity profiles (cherries, peach, etc). Fruity profiles generally don't blend too well with milk(s), which will mean you will rarely see Ethiopian beans used within an espresso blend.
Still waiting on Sunshine Coast for my order from 17 Jan. Auspost punishing me for having the gall to select standard parcel post. They almost delivered it last Friday but then decided to send it to Mackay North Qld. I see today it’s back at Burnside 20 minutes away from me with delivery expected sometime NEXT WEEK. WTF 😳
This or Limeblue?
I'm more of a Dark Roast lover, where I want strong caramel/choc notes. Less fruity/acidic. So Inglewood has been amazing for me. Very similar in taste to Allpress beans.
I was thinking the same but went with Limeblue for a single origin and to try a different taste. I've been having Sunset BLVD for quite some time now hence the taste feels too familiar.
But at the same time, it's the safest option if you haven't used this one before.
Excellent thank you
@Jackson14 ordered paid via PayPal but haven’t received any further email notification from Inglewood other than payment confirmation from PayPal?
Check your spam folder.
thanks @ronburgundy11 looks like they are using [Carrier: Xpress To You Overnight Tracking: but tracking # brings up empty details…
Pretty good coffe, and just in time as i have opened my last bag!
