On the other hand, the previous generation of cards didn't price in increased shipping and component prices so they let the market decide the price. I've heard that the new 6500XT was made as cheaply as possible, yet is still being sold at a loss due to AMD paying board partners to keep the price down in the first few months. (If you want one I'd buy it now).
The new cards will likely have increased shipping and component prices built in, on top of a good profit margin. So I don't expect them to be cheaper by any means.
Yet I can't find any sources for the above, so who knows.
If that's keeping the price down they'll be lucky to sell for higher in the coming months, when other gpu's release for better value even in a stock shortage, they should just cancel production if it's gonna be that hard a card to sell and save the resources for the actually desired GPUs
