This battery is a bit of a party trick. Its 9ah at 18v, but only 3ah at 54v.
The important bit of info is watt hours. Its a 162wh battery. (3x54 or 9x18 = 162)
Tool manufacturers are going higher voltage not for more powah but simply to save costs on copper.
Wouldn't call it a party trick, it may be confusing to people not familiar with the concept. Flexvolt batteries make even 18v tools perform better.
Tools like chainsaws, circ saws etc really benefit from the torque increase that comes with higher voltage batteries
I didn't even know that was a thing! Where you can have two voltages on a single pack. Wonder how good the discharge rate is
