  • Anyone know if Godox have a wireless portable continuous light system for video?

    • +1

I use a pair of godox LC500R for constant light for video shoots. they aren't that powerful but give great control with RGB controllable by remote control and barn doors.
I want to buy this light and power it off a portable power station to get stronger constant light but still use my favourite bowens modifiers.

    • +1

Godox ml60 is quieter, dimmer and accepts sony batteries for location shooting, about 400 bucks.
The ambitful SL80 is mostly metal, has a reincofrced and sealed LED element and has batteries actually suppiled and has an RBG mode, at a similar price point.

      • for ML60 and SL80, which one is better in term of usage purpose (disregard the portability)

        • +1

The ml60 has more favourable reviews. Significanlty more quiet than the sl60 and the mounting points hold larger modifiers than the sl60. If you plan to future invest in different lights, sticking to godox brands makes it possible to sync those lights to godox remotes. Ambiyful i know nothing about them, so harder to future proof, despite the sl80 providing those batteries free.
If it was my own money, id get the ML60 due to the existing great reputation alone.

          • @spinferno: thank you for sharing, i had just have a look on youtube, pretty impressive, downside is the softbox connector is not a bowen style, it is a newer smaller connector

            • @langitbiru: it's perfectly fine to expect a compact light to be too small to have it's own bowns mount.
That's what godox S2 brackets are for. keep a few in your bag and speedlights and compact lights like the ml60, ad200pro will all fit it :)

  • Anyone can recommend a cost-effective soft box and a light-stand please? Just for family use to shoot kids videos. thanks!

  • This or Neewer SL-60W? Specs are identical but around the $95 mark on ebay
