When USB 3 first came out a few vendors released a small extension for the receiver for this very reason lol.
These particular ones are some of my favorite - they dont retract and are small, so when plugged into something like a NUC you can still get a keyboard attached in the port next to it.
Pretty sure @kapone meant electro-magnetic interference not physical interference.
My first sentence was EM second was physical ;)

plastic vs metal is built down to a price, not up to a standard …. I find plastic OK for occasional use (remains on my desk) , but on my keyring they are metal ones but ones like samsung metal are $17 for 64GB …..
Just wondering.. I’ve got a 64gb USB stick in the car that is loaded with mp3. There’s random tracks that will not play, and is there any software that can output the codec/bitrate and all that so I can compare and see if that is the reason?
Check the file extensions maybe you need to use like media player to convert them all to the same file
Will Officeworks match this price with Amazon? (I know they have already done this with the 32Gb model).
Whoops, I was thinking of the retractable Sandisk model. But wondering if the retractable model may be a better buy as it has metal USB end, where as this one looks like it has plastic USB end. (Even though I know the retractable function seems to fail).
I was looking at this one for $12.
@OzyBe: hmm… or my link for $10 :). Different models I know, but same manufacturer, USB3, and metal connector. I didn't neg you above btw :).
I thought this was a fair enough question to ask
The 64gb glide is 1 cent more. Prefer that design over a plastic exposed connector
Yep! Much better design, good find. USB3 speed, metal connector, and retractable.

$10 model OOS they both look the same $12 v $10
Thanks for sharing the link. Difficult to edit on mobile for this boomer.
I know… they throw in that referral code automatically and its so annoying!
https://www.amazon.com.au/SanDisk-Glide-Slider-Retractable-D…
The product code on Amazon is:
SDCZ600-064G-G35https://www.amazon.com.au/SanDisk-Glide-Slider-Retractable-D…
The product code on Officeworks is:
SDCZ60-064G-B35Appears to be the same product, but assuming the code has been slightly changed to avoid price matching/beating?
Or there's 128G for $18. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B017RD11JQ/ref=aod_recommendati…
Sorry about the link. Don't know how to change it
Thanks got 3
Thanks, got one.
I ordered one of these also.
Speeds aren't bad it seems.
I finally got around to using it properly, copying about 50GB over of large files.
Speeds were closer to 36MB/s write for the first 15GB, before dropping to 23MB/s.
Don't be fooled by "transfer speed 100mbs", this has CRAZY SLOW write speed, so I wouldn't use it for sneakernetting
Sneakernetting, I had to google it. Learned something new today. I might take tomorrow off.
Not a fan of this design (plastic plug). It lacks shielding as a result of being all plastic, and I've had issues with transfers creating interference that affected wireless mice and keyboards.
