  Got a similar product a while ago after some serious electrical surge damage to our house. Looked around and asked questions which led to a mega long discussion on WP (http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1815227)
  Bottom line: These devices help just a little. Real protection is much more expensive. Maybe worth buying a unit which includes an enforceable insurance.

    These devices remove the finer spikes but need to used in conjunction with something like a Clipsal 970RM for worthwhile protection.
    The 970RM is fitted to your switchboard and diverts any voltage over 275V to earth. When i used to install them a few years ago they were about $70 and are very simple to wire and usually not very time consuming.

  Need to clarify that you can only order ONE.
  Also there are two states missing from your shipping costs … WA and TAS.

  After you factor in even the cheapest shipping it's not really any cheaper then when you order exactly the same boards with different branding (i.e. Cabac, Digitec, Huntkey and Powertec). Take a look on eBay, staticice and sites like topbuy, dealsdirect, etc. who regularly have them at this price and combine shipping when ordering more than one.
