  • Do you have a link to the inverter?

  • Something similar in NSW?

  • What's the price without using this special promo code?

  • I've been meaning to contact my owners corp and try to get a vote happening so I can install solar power on my townhouse roof, but less than half of the owners ever turn up to the annual meetings :(

    How is this a deal?

I paid $6795 for 10.4kW Trina panels with 8kW Sungrow three phase inverter (with import metering) only 3 months ago in NSW through a reputable installer.

Yes, Vic is lower rebates and rebates reduced in 2022, but that's only a reduction of ~$700 in rebates on a 6.6kW system. Even at ~$6000 this system is not a bargain. Seems to be just an ad to me….

    • I am in nsw and got solar for 3500 three months ago but seems like everyone has hiked their rates since then and are charging 4k plus. It's getting crazy now

      • the solar industry is not very health, government is fueling too much rebate, like kids being fed unlimited KFC…
in Victoria an electrician with a apprentice already asking for $2000 per single story house installation which typically takes 4-5 hours. The price used to be $1500 or less before the major rebate kicks in.

    • Who did you use if you don't mind me asking?

  • +21

I had very bad experience with SolarLink. They installed wrong panels, and failed to provide updated documentation when I agreed to accept that installation. They didn't install edge protection though charged me for it $400. When I pointed it out they lied that the barriers had been installed and sent me a picture of someone else's property as an evidence. Pathetic, isn't it? Luckily I had my own video and pictures to prove them wrong. They also delayed the final inspection providing the incorrect phone number to the inspector. I ended up making a complaint to Clean Energy Council who assisted me in getting me on the grid finally. I didn't recommend this company to my friends and my neighbour and I wouldn't recommend Solar Link to OzBargain community. If though you decide to disregard my advice make sure you document every step of your journey with them so in case if things go sour you would have a solid case for Clean Energy Council

      • Sounds like they were in touch, yet nothing…

      • You didn't care back then. Though it was eventually sorted out after I had filed complaint with the government agency I just want my experience to be a warning for people who would consider making business with you. I have discouraged my circle from dealing with your company and will continue doing so.

  • Horror stories like the one above are why i never pulled the trigger last year. Not with this company but many others. Solar is really hard to find an installer that you have full faith in.
