  • Great prices as always Francesca!

  • whats the write speed on the MicroSDHC Mobile Ultra (30MB/s) 64GB?

  • -5

Video cards only go to 30mb/s
Ultra are READ 15mb/s and WRITE 4mb/s

whatever they're selling it's not sandisk

    • really now? and you looked that up? or just making random statements?

      http://www.sandisk.com/products/mobile1-memory-products/sand…

    • what do you based this on? Sandisk Extreme HD Video are indeed now up to 45mb/s

    • He was referring to Ultra for the speed.
      Ultra read ~ 15MB/sec
      Write ~ 6MB/sec

However, the odd thing is, on an SLR I tested, the Ultra was able to cope with 1080p video BUT a class 10 card (which was tested 10MB/sec) wasn't able to keep up. It just goes to show that sequential read/write isn't the only thing that matters (it seems).

      • If you look at the link i posted you will see that sandisk mentions the Ultra speed as being 30mb/s

        http://www.sandisk.com/products/mobile1-memory-products/sand…

        • Thing is there are older batches of Ultra. Those one will not hit 30MB/sec (or they are 30MB/sec*). Even if it is 30MB/sec, it is the max read speed.

        • Netsurfer, If you look at the product description on MemoryCity you will notice that all the ultra card specs say 30MB.

        • dy4me… I HAVE one of those cards… on the package it says up to 30MB/s*
I am telling you that in a real life benchmark test I've done, it only comes out as 6MB/sec write.

I think the read might have been 18-19MB/sec (maybe even higher)… but write is 6MB/s.

I checked the package… it says "up to" 30MB/s; write speed lower. And, bear in mind, it is a class 6 card, which means if it hits 6MB/s write in sequential write test, it qualifies as one.

          Hi db318,

That is the standard micro SDHC, i just passed on what my suppliers hand on to me.
The specials for Class 10 & Class 6 today are in genuine sandisk retail packaging.

          Cheers

  • wow! a lot cheaper than shoppingsquare for sandisk micro sd ultra!

    • Thanks for your input :)

  • francesca whats the write speed on the MicroSDHC Mobile Ultra (30MB/s) 64GB?

    • I've just bought it, so watch this space.

      • Stumo, if ur in sydney then ill wait till tomorrow as u should have it by tomorrow. Which one did you get if u dont mind me aksing?

        • The good news is I got the 64GB mobile ultra. Bad news is I'm in Melbourne, so won't get it tomorrow.

        • Just found this…
          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oNAm61BzEg

Looks like its around 18MB/s sequential read and 7MB/s write. So its just within class 6 spec.

Seems to match up with whats been seen so far on the 16GB sandiskULTra cards…
          http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1582172

The reason I got it was for the capacity (and good brand name). If I wanted all-round speed you can't beat the Samsung 32GB cards right now.

Will be interesting to see the random speeds once I get it and put it through its paces. The 2 sandiskULTra 16GBs are clocking very impressive random write speeds, only beaten by my gold standard 32GB C2 sandisk.

    • Hi dy4me,

The write speed has a min of 6MB/s, depending on your host device.
My supplier told me it can do 8-15mb/s write speed.

      Cheers

      • Thanks francesca. I think in thats case i might get a 32gb extreme for the 550D and a micro sd ultra for the tab/phone. Hopefully ill have the speedtest from Stumo by tomorrow.

What is the cutoff time for the day before which you ship the same days orders?

        • Hi dy4me,

Cut off time is 3pm. I can get the goods packed & shipped out same day.

          Cheers

tom's hardware seems to think they are good http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/microsdhc-memory-card-pe…

they give some performance figures in the article as well

    • I get between 8-9 mb/s sequential write speed for the 64gb microSDXC.

  • Pic here shows 45mb/s but the description and SKU shows 30mb/s….

    http://www.memorycity.com.au/sandisk/29-sandisk-extreme-hd-v…

Can you find a link on the sandisk website to clear this up?

    • Hi,

Those are the description from SanDisk website, i have sent SanDisk email request for new information about it.
It is the new version of the 45MB/s speed rating.

      here's a link:

      Cheers

      • something is wrong with your cart system. the emails i am receiving are addressed to

        TWF0dGhldyBHYWxsYWdoZXI= <[email protected]>

where [email protected] is the correct address

        • Hi,

Can you please specify the problem? I don't get what you mean.
Let me have my webmaster to check now.

          Cheers

        • it's only minor but the emails that are being sent to me have extra junk at the beginning of my email address (where the name usually goes)

this is what the 'to' message header looks like in my emails:

          To: TWF0dGhldyBHYWxsYWdoZXI= <[email protected]>

where [email protected] is my correct email address. i'm guessing my name is not being decrypted.

  • So very tempting…

  • Thanks for clearing that up Francesca…..ordered..!!

  • Good price, and good choice in shopping cart :) Prestashop for the win :) I'm tempted to buy but I'm unsure.. I currently have a 16gb Kingston Class 10 doing me fine, I use it for DSLR can give me around 500 RAW shots..

  • Will there be any left tomorrow? I don't get paid until then and I really do need one of these.

    • Nevermind. I didn't want to miss out at this price so I transferred some $$ from my savings account. xD

  • Thanks for the great prices Francesca, memory card has been bought :D

  • Would the SDHC 32gig be overkill for a basic point and shoot Digi Cam that can record at 1080p? Im looking at one on ebay that has a speed of 20Mb/sec for half the price.

  • ordered a micro 8giga,
if the delivery is as said, ill be very happy.

  • These are getting cheaper every week memorycity does these deals. Each time I hesitate then regret when the sale ends, but a new one pops up a week later that's even cheaper than the last. I wonder how long I can push this.

I wish Sandisk would make a class 10 Microsd.

  • There's an interesting problem with your shopping cart. It offers the option of checkout as a guest, but you can't select your payment option until you register.
