*Obligatory first deal, be kind :-)

Seems like decent price for Nintendo branded SDCards (normal/plain Sandisk cards are still cheaper), close to ATL according to camelcamelcamel.

NOTE: the 256GB card is sold by a third-party seller (Veloreo) and fulfilled by Amazon AU.

More expensive elsewhere, e.g., 128GB is $59 @ Officeworks, $54 @ JB Hi-Fi, $47.40 @ Nintendo official site. Maybe be able to price beat at Officeworks for 5% cheaper.

If you put one in a flashcart for a Nintendo console it also makes Hiroshi Yamauchi roll over in his grave.

I have a feeling these might get discontinued at some point in favour of officially branded SD Express cards, for the Switch 2 (electric boogaloo).

    • The Switch 2 may finally be the device that commoditises SD express cards.

      • Doubt it, if no one else is biting why would Nintendo

        • I believe there were already some SD Express cards with Switch 2 labelling allegedly found within Gamestop's internal systems a while back.

The USD$150 for 1TB seemed like an almost reasonable price though, which makes me doubt the voracity of at least the pricing.

    • To get a speed start in Super Mario Kard you must press the acceleration button when the number two is visible on the screen!

  • Great job on a first post. Whether or not you like to buy Nintendo branded items vs. cheaper alternatives, this is indeed a good deal for this item.

    • Cheers mate, appreciate the support.
