Nice, Asahi is back. Although no coupons makes a DM price match difficult.
Sadly I lost interest in Asahi once I read the label and realised it was MADE (brewed) IN CHINA!

I think it used to be made by Carlton but even that tasted quite different from the real thing in Tokyo.
Not going to drink China made beer. Nothing against China, just don't trust them with food/drink.
If you check the 'brewed by' on most of Dan's 'imported' beer section, you'll realize there is very little that is actually brewed in the country of origin these days.
Asahi is not only brewed in China, but also Thailand, Canada, USA and New Zealand. I find Asahi much better in copy than the locally brewed Sapporo or Kirin, they just don't taste like the original.
As much as id prefer true import, a $30 local brew slab vs a $65 import slab is an easy decision.
U reckon DM in WA will match an Eastern state store even if I were to present a coupon from The Age?
DM has a big sign near the tills saying they will only match stores with 10km.

Dont be tricked, Asahi you see here is made in Thailand or China.
It's as good as hammer and tongs.
I got mine from Dan Murphys in Boronia and it was brewed in Thailand

Just got the Asahi no hassles in Boronia Dan's. They had to ask me where I got the voucher because it's changed papers
Oh so maybe thats why they couldn't hide them? :P
It will be a different story next week I'm sure now that they know it's switched to the age.
It's the first time I've done it. Are they notorious for hiding them?
