Good reviews. Best price on Camel X3. I've had a few Silicon Power SSD's and they have all run flawlessly. No idea how long it will be available at this price. I was looking to upgrade a 256GB SSD to 512GB but at this price I pulled the trigger for 1TB.

Site Says:
Boost up your Computer - 500MB/s Read, 450MB/s Write. Adopts TLC 3D NAND flash and "SLC Cache technology" to improve overall performance. The remarkable transfer speeds that enable faster bootup and improved overall system performance. The advanced SLC Cache Technology allows performance boost and longer lifespan
Compatibility gear up - 7mm slim design suitable for Ultrabooks and Ultra-slim notebooks. Low power consumption, shock and vibration-proof, noiseless and low latency.
Durability Armed - Supports TRIM command, Garbage Collection technology, RAID, and ECC (Error Checking & Correction) to provide the optimized performance and enhanced reliability.
Maximize Lifespan - The Ace A55's auto-copy technology allows automatic copy operations from the SLC cache to the TLC blocks inside the NAND without using the controller or DDR. This supports higher efficiency by reducing the controller's and DRAM's workload.

I think you can often get the mx500 for about this price

Cheapest price I saw without any caveats from a quick search was 124.

    Same price at umart too

    • Yes but $10 delivery. Ok for local pickup though.

  • Good price for a TLC NAND with DRAM.

    • I know right! Motivated me to jump from a new 512 to a new 1tb

There's no DRAM cache in this and it even says so, though not blatantly obvious. Rather it's using pSLC cache and once that is exhausted (could be a few gigs, hard to say) it'll slow right down. SSDs with DRAM cache often have pSLC cache as well and that enhances the peformance.

The controller used in this is the common SM2258XT found in most DRAMless SSDs. The XT in the model name means no DRAM.

      • Oh, that's disappointing. The first review I clicked through must have been wrong.

        • I believe they did the old switcheroo where it had DRAM originally and later changed to one without.

      • I have this exact SSD and its a POS. would rather use a spinning drive.

    • It has an SLC cache, no DRAM.

  • LOL this is 1 of the times i won't ask the classic OZB question : PS5 compatible?

    • No it's a SATA 2.5" SSD and not an M.2 NVMe SSD.

this is actually a good buy (i got an ITX board and both NVMEs are full).

    • Trust me its worth buying something else. I prefer Crucials in this price/sector.

  • If you want one be quick, down to 1 left in stock.

  • too late
