  • REP, any chance of a 5V USB nano charger/UPS for a raspberry pi.

    • @mitchins i'm curious why specific rpi UPS are used. is there a difference from using a generic powerbank? thanks

      • Well it’s designed to be a UPS.. but since it’s a DC output there’s no inverter needed so it’s cheaper and smaller.
You need a bit of cutover logic as well as the power bank.
I suppose I could use a schottky or two and make something… but a decently designed package off the shelf is easier

        • so if my usb power bank charges and outputs at the same time, is it a UPS?

@nilobject: Hard to say because you need uninterrupted cutover…

  • hi rep,
how do I get the $9.55 price on the step down module? Shows as $10.48 for me.
    thanks

    • Hello, sorry for the inconvenience caused. A small bug of just now. It has been adjust.
Price US$7.23~AU$9.55 is valid now. Please refresh your shopping cart.

  • Always cheaper on aliexpress and I've never got an answer from a rep about why they have a 200% markup.

Had a quick look on Ali, didn't see anything significantly cheaper.

I'm sure there's more, and I'm sure if you find the identical one it'll be at most half the price.

The one willyroo linked is the identical unit and is not half the price.

@Lt Lemming: Did you read the last line? It's not my job to find shit for you guys, I'm on mobile on holiday. Every other time I've searched properly I've found stuff for half the price.

These guys are just marking up dropships, go search for their supplier and you'll find a better price.

        • You have linked to (1) an FM receiver not transmitter, (2) a very simple FM transmitter that uses only discrete components, no IC, crystal, PLL and is not stereo. Not really a fair comparison in this case.

The FM transmitter brings back memories when i built one in 1981 as apprentice it was the size of a shoe box pushed out over 1 watt .And now the size of a match box .
