Every Jura product is backed by decades of Swiss engineering excellence.

The GIGA 5 is great for large families and office kitchens, boasting features that would generally be associated with commercial espresso machines. With a generous benchtop profile and the ability to make two coffees at once, it is imposing but exciting. There are two grinders, two heating systems, and two pumps, so you can prepare coffee and milk simultaneously. If you’re in the mood to experiment, you can combine two distinct roasts into a single blend by utilising the two bean hoppers.

You have the choice of 19 coffee beverages, as well as recipe prompts for 12 unique barista recipes. Selecting your drink is easy thanks to the TFT display and rotary dial. Discover why automatic is not erratic with a premium coffee machine from Jura.

    • Thanks, updated the title.

Parents had this coffee machine, would not bother to be honest. A $400 Breville will make coffee 10x better than this. For $2.5k you're able to get much better machines that will definitely make a better coffee.

We had a different Jura machine in the office and don't have anything rave to say about it either.

    • Thanks, wondering how is the milk frothing as per your experience?

      • +1

The milk frothing (flavour and consistency) would be worse than the coffee flavour. These “auto” machines just aren’t a match to coffee from a manual “commercial type” coffee machine.

If your going down the auto convenience path you may as well pay $300-$500 for a cheap auto to get a similar coffee…..in my opinion!

    Or you could get 2506 $1 7/11 coffees :)

But how would I keep them all warm?

    • +3

What’s that. Like 7 years of coffee. Beans included.

        7 years of disappointment.

We have this at the office. It is terrible, and no, better beans didn’t help.

We got one in the office pre-covid. The flat white was terrible, so I created my own profile and tweaked the settings (which there are loads) dozens of times trying to get a good cup. I finally gave up and stopped using it. I don't recommend.

  • I agree, our office has an older Jura machine. It makes gross coffee.

I prefer making instant Moccona to be honest.

  • I had a Jura, coffee was terrible. Bought a Breville and have never looked back. Jura is expensive and overrated.

  • I recon the problem is tamp pressure. You can set the grind, temp, the length of the shot, use fresh beans..but the tamp pressure is set by the machine.

I'm playing with a Delonghi auto machine, made around 50 coffees and still haven't got the setup right. Refilling Map pods with fresh ground coffee makes a far better coffee.

  • My Previous work place had Jura commercial machine and i don't like the taste. I had delonghi magnifica 5500 bought in delonghi warehiouse sale for $500 factory second product. It has auto frother and coffee taste was good too. We haven't used the machine for sometime and few months ago i took out to make coffee and unfortunatelly inside the machine was cockroach infested and i had to throw it

    • Where is the factory location?

  • if you want a relatively automated experience at home, the oracles makes better coffee than these will imo.
