No love for the new $8 Value Max range. Is the range available everywhere?

    • Aren't they just the traditional range that have been $7.95 forever?

      • +2

Not exactly, they reshullfled menu in Vic, at least.

        https://imgur.com/a/lN4aWbp

        • +3

Yeah its the same in qld, but most of those are just charging exactly the same for a traditional range (godfather, loaded pepperoni, Hawaiian were all traditional range at $7.95). Spicy veg supreme looks like vegorama with chili.

You can get a normal BBQ meatlovers traditional range for $7.95 - why would you pay $8 for a 3 meat?

Actually, spicy veg trio used to be a $5 value pizza, same with beef and onion.

          • +1

@lunchbox99: Spice veg trio used to be cheese sprinkled with tomatoes and chili and with a couple of spinach leaves under it. Now it has a bunch of toppings, so it's not as simple as comparing names. May apply to your other examples.

          • @lunchbox99: Spicy Veg Trio was always the best of the $5 Value range. Not surprised they've bumped it up into the next bracket.

            • +1

@zaphy: Thats a shame, $5 was fair and reasonable and good value. No Domino's is really worth more than $5-8

              • @G-rig: basically i price their pizzas $8 tops too when calculating their deal "combos"

      • -1

They were $6.95 for a very long time before $7.95 and now they are pushing it up to $8.95

    • +16

It's here in QLD too, and also not impressed. We used to like the beef and onion, but hated how they made the pizzas smaller a little while ago while keeping the price the same, so stopped going with Dominos. A couple of months ago we were having a late day and felt like pizza and decided on dominos and the pizzas were so small it felt like they must have shrunk the size twice more since the last time we had it, again while keeping the price the same. Over Christmas some family wanted dominos so we went for the beef and onion, only to find it's now "double beef and onion" and $8 instead of $5 like it used to be. We ended up getting it and none of us felt like there was any extra beef or onion - if we hadn't seen the site call it double beef and onion, we would have thought it was completely normal beef and onion!

Between the constant shrinking (which at this rate we're convinced will mean they'll soon be selling a pizza that's like 1 bite of actual pizza :P) and the price increases on "double" toppings and whatnot, along with "new" pizzas that are just renamed version of their old pizzas that are now in the value max range for an extra $3, we're going to dominos as little as possible. We're just glad we have a delicious Italian place up the road from us that does great pizzas!

        • +16

While you seem to struggle to understand poorer value and product degradation are not Inflation.

          • @[Deactivated]: THEY REMOVED THE FREE BASIL DRIZZLE

            NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

WAS PERFECTION WITH THE $55 BEEF N' ONION

            • @capslock janitor: Yeah I used to get that too. I rarely eat Dominos but a few months ago a cheap deal was posted here when they had just added several new pizzas/toppings. (I remember one was duck because it was the best pizza I'd had from them in years.) Anyway, when this deal here was posted I checked… and either they've deleted them all again, or just my local store doesn't have them. You've really got to wonder whether the people making decisions at Dominos have some undiagnosed mental disorder.

      • +2

Glad I always support local so I don’t have to deal with this stuff

        • +3

Exactly - we've been supporting local more and more lately, and so glad we did. Not only is the stuff almost always tastier, it's better value.

Also, better transparency - a couple of years ago one place we really liked had a message up in their store saying something along the lines of "hey, just to let you know that the price for some of our ingredients has gone up lately with general price increases. We could either get a cheaper cut of meat, or serve less, but we don't want to cut the quality of what we serve, as that's not how we want to treat our customers. Due to this, as of (insert date here) we'll be charging an extra $1 for that cut of meat - that'll ensure we can keep serving the same quality you've come to expect of us"

That sign was up for a few months at least to make sure everyone knew it, and we loved it. We loved that they were being transparent about it, told us the issue and decided to increase the price a little bit for the same quality (compared to domino's that's increasing the price AND reducing how much we eat!)

As far as I can remember, it's the only price rise in the while we've been going there, and really appreciate how they handled the situation!

      • +4

The beef in the beef and onion is so pathetically scarce on Domino's pizzas. Like I know you gotta rob the customers but damn.

        • +2

Exactly! So imagine our surprise when we got the double beef and onion and it was still super scarce! Wasn't fun :-P

      • +1

Beef and Onion is for babies, get on the $7.95 meat lovers with BBQ sauce, Chilli flake and Oregano.

        • +1

I don't eat pork products, so unfortunately the meatlovers is a no go for me :P

  • +3

Waiting till they cancel it in Sydney

    • Less likely, since they increased all of them by $1 since last sale

  • +5

Probably best preordering it now before the stores cancel all the codes again.

    • what happen to the store, is the discount code(s) damage their business? :D

  • How much is a large value usually? haven't been to Domino's in ages

    • +1

Value range is $5, Traditional $15, Premium $18-$19.

There are active vouches (e.g. code 993624) to get Traditional for $8 and Premium for $11.

This one-day deal is really good deal for Premium range e.g. Loaded Supreme and Garlic Prawn are $19 standard, and $11 with voucher, but with the deal this comes down to $8. Though for the same money (2x$4) you can get two Value range pizzas, which is also good feed.

      • +5

you have been able to get $7.95 traditional with codes for the past decade, so only a real idiot would pay the full $15 price.

I always cringe when I see people ordering without a code at the counter when I go to pickup. They are being completely ripped off.

        • +1

I have never NOT used a coupon at Pizza Hut/Domino's the last 25 years - there's always at least one available so why pay full price?

          • @zaphy: Are you saying that you would order the Value range and use a coupon that doesnt do anything?

            • @Crownanchor: Value range excepted I guess. BUT - quite often that's in app-only deal isn't it? So same thing.

              • +1

@zaphy: Its not in app only. Can order it on the website for $5, with or without a pointless code and you may even be able to order in person at a store, if anyone actually does this anymore.

                • @Crownanchor: lunchbox99 mentioned the guy ordering at the counter without a coupon, which is what I was replying to. I don't think it's available ordering in-store.

                  • +1

@zaphy: It is $5 for value pizzas even if you order in store

                    • @harthagan: Ah okay. It used to be app/online only. My comment stands for other purchases, there's always a coupon that'll bring the price down.

  • +3

have to say CBF even for this for Dominos atm. Too many times I get the pizzas with barely any sauce on them. Makes the dry and tasteless. Doesn't matter how many freebies I get from the feedback, they never actually fix the problem. I will get Pizza Hut next time (on the 2 for 1 Tues) or just make my own, as usual these days.

    • +4

I support making your own, however I've never-ever had issues with Domino's over years in different stores and states.

      • +3

it depends on the stores, some are better than others. Our local has enough toppings except the sauce…such a shame as otherwise they would be great. When I get the free one and I have to ring to order it, I tell them to add the extra sauce as that was the issue with the other pizzas and they do, order again another time….same old same old. I have had 4 lots of free pizza this year, yet they never change what they are doing. I pretty much give up. I've made a suggestion that maybe they have the double sauce option in the ordering section, or able to have a message in the order like Pizza Hut do……but nope.

        • +1

"I have had 4 lots of free pizza this year" I take my hat off to you! Four days into 2022, how much Domino's do you power through on a daily basis?

          • +1

@Boodek: hahahaha, soz, forgot it was 2022 now. My bad

      • This. My local is 10/10.

    • +2

LOL. Apart from a thimble of topping, sauce is ALL my local store puts on them.

    • Oh really?
I have the opposite problem with my local where they smother the pizza with sauce.

  • Sounds good

  • +1

About bloody time Holly hell whose running this company fk me.

Don't get me started with the max range pizzas Vs the 7.95 traditional pizzas 😮🔥💨💩😤

  • +2

I'm just waiting for that one person to come in and say how terrible Domino's is, than go and buy a pizza elsewhere that's like four times the price for not four times the taste.

    • I wonder why other pizza stores won't match with a comparable price range!
I mean of Domino's can, I would imagine others should be able to do too.

    • And I'm waiting for pink unicorns that fly and poop bitcoin. You must be my brother adopted out at birth.

  • What's the chances of stores cancelling preorders like last time again…

  • Pre-ordered. Thanks!

  • +5

Dominos = worst pizza now. Actually, bad since 2015 when they started to shrink the pizza (& box so you might not notice the pizza size reducing). I knew they had shrunk the box, because the previous wouldn't fit in our inside recycle bin. I contacted them & the rep said "I" was mistaken- lol. What a (profanity) liar! And I was feeding a household of teens w/friends over on weekends and ordered A LOT, often. Didn't matter to Dominos. F-you, loyal customer- F-you! Ordered one, final time and the toppings were dismal, almost no sauce or cheese, nearly bald crust— no thanks. No Dominos ever since.

Now, we order from a local place (great pizzas and service!) or we make our own using the $1 Woolies pita breads + fresh toppings. Awesome stuff- and STILL cheaper and so delicious compared to the downward-slide, horrid Dominoes.

    • -4

Imagine how pathetic you would have to be to call dominos to complain about the size! What an angry boomer you sound like!

      • +2

(Says the smallest guy in every room.) ;-p

    • +2

I always pity people like you are. It is cheap and you expect it to be big and more filling.

People like you are never happy in this life.

Calling domino’s and complaining about your $5 pizza.

And feeding the whole house with junk food!!!!!

    • +2

Yup, they shrunk the pizza and changed the names around. Their argument being that they improved the ingredients / toppings etc but i dont see any difference. To get the normal size you have to buy the extra large surcharged pizza. As well as they removed other features like free changing of 2 toppings to 2 other toppings.

  • +3

    Not even worth $4!

    • +1

When garlic bread at local pizza joints go for $5, I'd say it's not bad.

      • -1

        $1.89 at Aldi for 2..
        Air fryer

  • +1

Thanks for sharing OP. Glad to get this cheap rubbish at a proper price for a day.

  • +1

More codes for this day, might be SA only ?

    Large Value $4 code 845873
    Large Traditional $6 code 711685
    Large Premium $8 code 839262
    Garlic Bread $2 code 621128

  • Well given the tiny size of the pizzas and stingy toppings. But still thanks for the deal to get the pizza for just barely what it's actually worth lol

  • -7

Going for two traditionals 4 12$ supreme with no bacon but jalapenos shit load of chilly, oregano and Perri Perri sauce.

And the other with out pineapple and paanar cheese, no pinaleapple, hotsauce

Or tomatoes and cheese with Peri on one, chilli flakes
The other ham and cheese on BBQ with hotsauce with shit load of chilli flakes $10 plus $2 garlic bread.

Domino's stores are hit and miss, you'll get killa heartattack pizza stores or cardboard pizza stores.

None of your sentences made any sense.

        • +8

          Wasn't even a question

          • -4

@G-rig: With Braincells like yours a question isn't necessary

            • @[Deactivated]: None of your sentences make sense.

'Brain cells' are two words btw champ.

  • +1

More codes for VIC, or select it from the banner in the web site

    Voucher 684712 = Premium
    Voucher 122576 = Traditional

    • Lunch sorted :D

  • Deal is on today, and i kept thinking it was the 12th for some reason.

  • -1

Not paying more than 5 for a spicy veg trio, can make them much cheaper.. even if it's a bit of effort, can always grab 2x tip top bases half price for $3 fairly often.

    • How much cheaper are you talking about?

      • -1

Dunno but the ingredients are cheap as

    • +2

Yep agree. I liked the spicy veg trio for $5. But now i'd rather make my own using good quality Italian 00 flour and cooking in gas pizza oven. Pretty easy really, especially if you make dough balls in bulk and freeze. Taste better and works out cheaper.

      • I got some plain and wholemeal flour (I think 2/3 plain and 1/3 wholemeal works), just need to get the technique right and practice before getting better flour. Agree it isn't too hard. My oven sucks, seems to take a long time to heat up even on full noise.. pre-made bases are easy in the air fryer one big slice at a time.

Otherwise it's Just red onion, tomatoes, chilli flakes, bit of rocket or baby spinach at the end. Good throwing on jelapenos, mushrooms olives etc too ;)

  • My local Dominos doesn't open until 3pm! Lunch ruined.

    • +3

      Dinner saved?

  • Beef and onion gone from value range in Qld.
Very little difference to normal Tuesday prices.
Bang for buck, I'd rather order 2 super Supremes from the hut for $15 (standard Tuesday deal).
Simply comparing on weight alone, you'd need 4 dominos pizzas to equal 2 hut pizzas.
And I've gotta say (only for super supreme) hut pizzas way better than dominos.

  • Are their premium Megas really worth it or is it like loaded pepperoni where I've never found a difference

    • +1

Save your money - not worth it IMO

      • Ok thanks!

  • (NSW) all codes rejected - "for delivery only"

    • I just ordered in NSW and worked fine for me (pickup).

    • Yep. Pick up only at these prices….

  • Thanks OP, ordered an hour ago and it went through.

  • So Hawaiian now falls under VALUE MAX RANGE and is not included??

  • thought plant based pizzas would be 'premium' but no code seems to reduce them

    • +1

Yeah, they seem to be their own separate section. Which is convenient, if you want plant-based but don't have time to go through every ingredient in detail. But, in this case, it means they miss out. I think the best you can do is to pick something veggie from one of the included sections, remove mozzarella (I always swap it for pineapple!), etc.

      • yeah, good tip. Might get Vegorama with some changes.

    • You can select Plant Based via using the Half and Half Option and then selecting the Plant Based options within there, there's a $2 surcharge from the Traditional Pizza price though making them $8.

      • Cheers for the idea.
You can also go the vegorama editing route (as it is a traditional pizza), as it includes a few more veggies (like mushroom).
I removed onion (-$1.50), added Chilli flakes (free), Garlic Base Sauce Swirl ($1), and Plant-based beef ($2); for a total of additional $1.50; total $7.50.

  • -1

    cheers

  • +1

    ahh no delivery

  • Thanks OP

  • awww they got rid of the super premiums

  • Can I stack the garlic bread code with a pizza code?

    • +1

      Yes, they all stack

      • Thank you

  • +1
