This is he best bread knife I have ever used. Very sharp.

  • Coming up as 55.75 for me :(

Wow… I didn't know these came in larger sizes!

I can chop off multiple fingers at the same time now :).

(In all seriousness I absolutely love the small Victorinox knives)

    $5 cheaper than last deal.

    Nice 1 OP.

  • WTF with the dimensions? Appears to be too small to be a proper Bread knife (normally around 33cms.long and a blade of around 21cms.)

    • Victorinox list their blade lengths, so 26cm is significantly longer than what you were comparing it with.

      The listed 66cm x12.7 x 12.7 dimension… questionable

      • +1

        Capacity ‎5.3 Tons. WTF?

  • It's much longer and wider than a normal bread knife, but easy to get used to. The blade is 250 mm long. Haven't used it yet, need to toivel it first. :)

Not free delivery with prime unless >US$49.

    • Delivery for me is $35.

    • Lol iykyk

    • Careful at the mikveh

      • Yeah, I was told off when Ii went to adass 40 years ago at night.

This or mercer culinary millennia bread knife? Here I was thinking the mercer was always had the best bread knife… (They do go for a touch more at around $31, but u don't buy a bread knife every day! Or do you??)

    • I can confirm 100% Victorinox is better…i bought Mercer before but returned because the angle of the blade is not straight, it tends to go left very hard to control.
I mostly use this knife at work to cut vegetables, super sharp, quality knife.

  • Any good recommendations for a cheese knife? I'm looking for one of those that have holes in them so they don't get stuck on the cheese block

    • Just get a Santoku with deeper Grantons on the side. Most 'cheese' knives are c-r-a-p.
I've yet to see a knife with 'holes' in the blade that impressed me and believe me, I've seen and used thousands of knives.
I'm hoping someone surprises me on that one some day.
Knives with holes in the side are typically 'gimmicky' garbage. A bit like those colourful and cheap Scanpan knives.
And another tip if I may. If a knife has 'China' stamped or written onto it… garbage.
Also 'Titanium' knives or any knife that states something like 'ever sharp' or 'never needs sharpening'… garbage.

I have stopped reading at "thousands".

Or you could pay a bit more and get a Japanese knife:

But you would end up with an inferior knife, less dollars and a crappy non dishwasher-safe handle

I’m a big fan of Tojiro and Japanese knife but I prefer Victorinox with its slight curve, easier to cut as compared to straight bread knife, so your knuckle not hitting the cutting board. I have similar bread knife to Tojiro, but I found Victorinox is nicer to use for cutting sourdough bread.

      • Tend to agree with you on all points mentioned.

That will be a good knife, certainly for domestic users. Great tip/upvoted.

      • When you don't say why, you leave the viewers a little unsure about why the knife is so good… you tease!

  • Feeling a bit disappointed that i missed out on this bread knife.

    • It still there, I don’t know why it’s marked as expired??

      • Price is up. May be that's why

  • The deal is still going, shows as $21.69 for me, but I need to add something else to my order to avoid paying the $35 shipping.

    • Refer to LittleTicket’s comment above

  • Also anyone not familiar with these knives they are insanely sharp, we nickname them the bonesaber. It's the no1 bread knife I recommend to new chefs and home cooks.

price is up now. it is $23.55.

    • +1

$25.19 now. I'll just use their steak knife and cut a bit further.

  • I wonder, whether it vibrates or not?!
