First time I've seen this but CashRewards have a $140 bonus for AMEX Platinum Edge card applications.

This is on top of existing AMEX sign up bonuses so can stack up quite nicely.

Current AMEX signup bonus for Platinum Edge is 50,000 MR points plus a $200 David Jones voucher (for New cardholders only)

(+$140 cashback with Cashrewards)

Need to spend $200 at DJ to get $200 credit (You’ll also receive a $200 credit on your Card when you spend $200 or more at David Jones)

& also min spend of $1,500 within the first 3 months for 50,000 Bonus Membership Rewards

$195 annual fee should be included in the post

  • Not a bad card for $195 per year if you use the $200 travel voucher each year

    Features:
3 POINTS at major supermarkets and petrol stations per $1 spent (Transfer to Virgin or Krisflyer points at 2:1)
1 POINT on all other purchases (Transfer to Virgin or Krisflyer points at 2:1)
Receive $200 to spend on eligible domestic and international flights, hotels, car hire or unique experiences with American Express Travel
Smartphone screen repair up to $500 when you pay for your phone outright or monthly bill with your AMEX card

  • When you say 'new card holders', are you referring to new to Amex or new to Platinum Edge?

I currently have the Qantas Amex.

    • It means any Amex that isn’t a Corporate card, a David Jones card, or the Westpac/Elevate Amex (if there’s anybody still left on that product). So you wouldn’t be eligible unforch.

This is a good deal for this card, I don't think they offer more than 50k bonus points and the best you get is a $195 statement credit for the annual fee so a $200 DJ gift card is not that bad when combined with the $140 CR

I thought Cashrewards was bought out by ANZ, so this feels weird that they are advertising a competitor's card. Oh well.

    • If you have signed up for Cashrewards Max and are signed into your account, you get an error when you try and navigate to the page in the OP.

I believe if you unlink your Max ANZ card you can then see it, and can then re-link your Max card after taking up the deal.

  • Note the following in the T/C

Card Members who currently hold or who have previously held any Card product issued by American Express Australia Limited in the proceeding 18 month period are ineligible for this offer.

The “new card cardholders only” rule effectively kills the deal

    • Does that apply to the cashback or just the bonus points?

  • Wonder the below linked deal was better than this?. The first annual fee wasn't charge.

  • Bad deal, dont waste your once in 18months amex churn on such a poor amount of bonus points.
