Sonos Beam Gen 2 $590 Delivered @ Sight & Sound Galleria

40

A compact Dolby Atmos compatible soundbar with great reviews, for those who find the Arc a bit too much. RRP $699. Available in black or white.

This was the deal I was hoping for before Christmas, but got impatient and bought a Samsung instead.

  • Sonos has free returns.

  • Which Samsung you got?

HW-Q90R. It was a factory second one off eBay for just under 900. Very happy with it. Once you add the surrounds and sub to the beam, then it starts to get a bit pricey.

  • Yep. I wasn't sure what site to link to, so I just went with the cheapest. If it's available locally, I'd probably go to one of the bigger stores.

  • Can anyone explain to me what the benefit of wireless rear speakers is? You still would need to run power to them right?

    • +3

You don’t need to run an extra two wires from your amp/soundbar to your speakers.

So exchanging speaker wires for power cables, whats the point?

        • +2

You only need wires from a powerpoint, which may already be on your back wall.

  • This or Samsung HW-S61A? Is $245 more for the Sonos beam worth it?

This. But mostly because of the Sonos ‘ecosystem’.
