        1. update the link to the manual
        2. second sample video is not 720p
        3. poor user manual, doesn't say you can change recording quality
        4. how long does the battery last?
        5. does it have a in-built memory or a TF card?(or both?). cause the manual says:

        Features
. World’s first HD quality video camera eyewear
. Brilliant and rich natural colours, high quality video
        images
. 5 Mega pixels CMOS camera for clear digital
        recording
        . 8GB TF memory card
. Easy connection with PC/Laptop – no driver
        needed
. User friendly operation for easy control
        Storage
. The device has an in-built memory of 8GB

I'm sure I've seen something very similar to this on dealextreme for 30 or 40 bucks inc free delivery, certain they were 720p as well.

    Here we go: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/usb-rechargeable-hd-720p-5-0mp-…

Currently out of stock, but makes the claim of "world's first" in this post seem … questionable.

  • you can find the manual here http://www.cameraglasses.com.au/v/vspfiles/Manuals/AEE100MIn… cause they haven't updated the link on the product page ;)

P.S. there are 2 sample videos on the product page but the second one is only 480p, and the manual doesn't say if you can change the recording quality…

  • Save a further 10% So price should now be down to $144 ?

ATTENTION! : PAYMENT PAGE NOT ENCRYPTED!!!

    • This is our first time on this site, so please bare with us:

We migrated the domain from aee.com.au to cameraglasses.com.au on Friday. The SSL Cert was supposed to have been done too, however I will speak to the site host now. Thank you for the feedback. This is very important. If the site owners would like this taken down until I get a response, I can.

      To answer others:

      $142.51 is the shipped cost
Yes they are not the cheapest out there
We advertise the battery as 90 mins but regularly see up to 2 hours
TF memory is inbuilt - some glasses come with a removable, ours are inbuilt
Quality can not be changed, it records as 720p but has been uploaded to Youtube incorrectly
Links have now been updated - thank you for notifying, we have been working all weekend on migrations and missed these.

      • +9

        too many "incorrect" things mate!
Of course it's very important to have security at least on the payment part of your site!
You should care about taking YOUR site down until you fix the security issue and not only the ozbargain deal!

World's first HD Recording Sunglasses with 8GB hard drive.

They don't have a hard drive in them, sheesh. Talk about poor product knowledge of product that you are selling.

This has (according to logic, and the manual too) a 8GB TF memory card

    • +1

Maybe it's a "new" type of memory: Hard Disk, TF memory card AND in-built memory at the same time!

  • +2

To be on the safe side, I will hide this listing until the certificate has been confirmed as migrated. The host is looking into it now.

These glasses + bikini waxing job + video upload website = profits

Man, give the guy a break… It's Easter Sunday!!!

    • +2

Exactly. Most ozbargainers are now loaded up with Cadbury cream eggs and on the edge from the sugar hit so today of all days is the day to get your deals spot on or expect to feel their wrath.

      • Haha.. I think carbiside is the correct term!

    • +2

      i didn't know we don't need SSL on… Easter Sundays :)

P.S. negative vote revoked as the rep has put his site down for maintenance

  • These will be perfect for when I go to the nude beaches.

    • +2

lol, noone is going to notice the bulging temple arms and the lense poking out the middle of the glasses are they?

      • +2

ROFL, reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Homer wore the giant cowboy hat with a camera in it! :)

"That hat had one day left til retirement!"

        • Hahaha.
I thought I read somewhere that an LED flashes when its recording anyway?
Bit hard to hide, though for the shameless you probably don't care anyway.

Just think about how much your head actually moves when you walk, talk, stand still and look around. Then remember how your brain automatically adjusts for that as you walk, talk, stand still and look around.

Now imagine what it's going to look like in video format, unless you train your head in the same way as you've learned to hold a video camera still in your hand(s).

I cannot imagine this thing producing many decent videos, whether they involve nude bathers or that secret meeting with the premier.

    • Agreed. I reckon this is the kind of idea that looked great in Mission Impossible, but in reality would be fairly useless. ;)

  • Ever wondered what perverts actually do for a living?? Design things like this…

Now, all they gotta do is figure out a 'recreational' way to market a camera fitted shoe for upskirt shots.

Class act taking the site down to fix security problems :)

Quick update. Following GregFiona pointing out our Cert hadn't been migrated, the site has been taken offline. Unfortunately one of the downsides to choosing a migration over a long weekend, is a lack of resources when something hasn't been done with our hosting company.

Security is something we are serious about and we appreciate being notified of it. Will post back over the next couple of days once we are back up and running. Thanks for the patience.

  • What's the recording quality like? I know it says 720p, but is it grainy and choppy like most spy cameras?

    • The quality is good. There are 2 videos on the link above, feel free to check them out.

  • Update - SSL was reissued overnight last night. We are back online. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I have had a look through the Wiki but cannot see how to relist this item without creating another ad. Can someone point me in the direction of the rule please.
