    I have the older 918+ and i've not had any issues with transcoding on the occassion i've been away and needed to use it (rather than direct play when on my LAN).

    Had mine over a yr and multiple people on plex and no probs.. other than migrating to new synology os and having to delete and setup plex privileges again to stop server time out issues . Plays all i have thrown at it so highly reccomend at this $$

    Had this model for over a year now. CPU usage at 80% when transcoding 4k. Works fine for a single user, don't know if it can handle multiple high quality streams.
