Today's Epic Freebie! The one we have all been waiting for, the mighty AAA title. A free $55 game which will definitely be a redeem and install for me!

From the Epic site:
The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted.     this game has flown under the radar for too long. it is amazing, better than dishonoured in my opinion

      I actually stopped play Deathloop the other day to start Prey instead. So far enjoying it more.

    Reminded me a lot of bioshock, but less wet.
    Definitely worth the zero dollars.

      I think I bought this on xbox for a couple of bucks. Haven't played it yet but surprised at how much praise it's getting for game that I hadn't heard of that dropped in price so steeply.

    Everyone should give this amazing game a go. Also worth noting, this version includes the Mooncrash DLC.

    How is this $55 rrp on PC on EGS when it hovers around $10-20 on console for the last few years?

    Bought it for $10 on PS4 about 3 years ago.

      PC gaming prices are whack. I checked out the Steam sale and was flabbergasted to see games on my wishlist from 8-10 years ago still RRP for $30-50.

      Death Stranding is still $100RRP on Steam, I bought that for $9 on PS4 last Christmas lol.

      I used to spend $200-250+ every Steam sale back when games would drop to $2.50-$10 each during the daily sales. I honestly can't remember the last time I spent more than $50 on a PC sale now that all the prices are up.

      Prey has its RRP at $40 on PlayStation Store and XBox Store, the fact that a retail store sells them at clearance prices doesn't make that the RRP.

      It's RRP on Steam is $40, however, like sale prices at retail stores PC digital distributors have sales too, Steam currently has it for $10, GoG has it for $11.29, CDKeys has it for $12.39. So wait until sales to purchase older games on PC.

    Started playing this 2 weeks ago. If you haven't played yet do yourself a favour and give it a crack. So far it's one of the best experiences I've had since Half Life 2

      The original Prey (I think 2004?) is mighty different to this one, completely different styles of graphics. Enjoyed it though.

      Try playing at 4am with headphones on with a newborn sleeping on your chest lol.
      I played 85% of this game in the early hours after a night feed with headphones.

      But it also means it's one of those gaming experiences I actually remember.

    Don't sleep on this one, guys. Prey (and the Mooncrash DLC) is one of the best games of the last few years. And it really is a true spiritual successor to System Shock.
