Can you get TGG Consierge through the Ebay?
$6695 with code PBDS5
in response to above link
This is an amazing price! Its just gone on sale for $5000 in the US. Converting dollars it comes to almost exactly the same price. Thats unheard of for TV prices comparison in Australia.
whats the warranty on it and does it cover burn in?
One year but ACL says it should be around 3-4 years for this kind of TV. Burn in can get replaced but just don't say those words to them and you'll be able to get it replaced within the first year. Burn in after 1 year is difficult to get a warranty for no matter the situation. They usually make you pay a subsidised amount beyond 1 year if you've got good phone manner :) keep in mind these TVs are pretty good now and chances are low unless you watch the same channel with a logo every single day
Got two 2016 oleds replaced this year for burn in issues. Had bought extended concierge warranty. No questions asked.
A tv for this price you would easily get 5-8 years as a minimum under expected life of a product, I've seen a 7 year Samsung 55" TV ($3500) get fully refunded by JB hi-fi and yes they do cover burn in so I don't know where your getting your info from and paying that a subsidised amount ?
I'm talking from experience and from other people I know plus thousands of people online through forums and YouTube. First year should be fine. After 1 year burn in replacement has many people saying that they had to pay a percentage of the cost to replace the panel. Just because you've seen a random event of a long term replacement get taken care of doesn't mean its normal
@Whisper Quiet: Worked at JB in the TV section for six years seen it happen all the time and helped customers claim under ACL for replacement TVs so yeah Im actually talking from experience, LG years ago did dodgy shit like refusing to even consider repairing past the 1 year warranty but got into trouble so are pretty good these days..
How bad is free tv 1080 content etc on screen this big?
I just bought the Sony A90J 83 inch.
1080p doesn't look bad at all, depends on your viewing distance. The closer you are, the worse it'll look.
HD Still looks amazing on my C1 it's only the crappy 540 or what ever it is non hd looks pretty average
