Coles has an offer of 10% savings for Australian soldiers and their families. Seen it in the newspaper posted on the wall at Coles yesterday in Qld. I think its nationwide. I asked a staff member about the promo but they weren't even aware of it until i showed them the newspaper ad. I think you simply need to show your ADF ID at the check out if you are serving, returned or even if you are retired. its a pitty that you can not also get 10% off on gift cards and alcohol. If anyone can confirm that it works with expired Australian Defence personnel ID cards too that would be great?

Coles added more info under the above facebook post:
"Defence Force Passes, Veteran Affairs Cards (Gold, White or Orange) and RSL Membership Cards will all be accepted. If you have another form of ID, speak to the store manager and they should be able to assist."
