One thing i wish people tell me earlier is that an average fist size parts can take many many many hours… nothing like what you imagine.

    • +2

The 3D printers that use liquid resin are much faster, typical quoted speeds are 20 to 36mm per hour. But the prints aren't as durable.

    • It doesn't have to be. If you print with 1mm nozzle with .7mm layer height and 1mm or less thick walls and infill density of say 10 it will take maybe an hour. Just saying you can trade of detail for speed.

  • Genuine question, what do you use them for? Real uses, not toy dinosaurs.

  • This or the ender 3 pro? I can't seem to tell which one is actually better

    • The v2 has a few functional upgrades
And also a better form factor is psu placement

I bought just now selecting the "Ender-3V2+2KG+CR Torch" option checked out AUD$324.13 in PayPal. For about $20 extra seems worth it.

    • Just came to USD$221.52 on PayPal and AUD$320.77 on my card

      • Sounds like your card has a poor conversion rate, or your bank is charging fees. 221.52 USD is about 307 AUD at today's conversion rate, and a good credit card will get within a dollar of that AUD amount. I recommend you look into a 28 Degrees card, or the Bankwest Platinum Zero card. I have both, and I always get charged very close to what Google says the AUD amount is.

Or did you let PayPal do the conversion, and bill you in AUD? PayPal charges about 4% conversion fee.

To avoid conversion fees, get one of the above cards, enter its details into PayPal, and set PayPal to always charge you in the overseas currency.

        • Yep its a terrible card for exchange, but its a QFF churn card. I cancelled my 28degs and Bankwest years ago.

  • Is the bundle with CR Touch with a Metal Probe for Ender Series worth it? How did you guys get it for USD $221.52? Is it the bundle price? Does the printer come with Australia warranty?

  • Been waiting for boxing day for this to fall… Thanks for sharing I hope mine arrives in the Mail quickly… Can anyone recommend where to get good quality filament at a decent price shipped to Melbourne?

It's shipped, tracking number begins with IISW…. Does anyone know which company that is with? 17track can't work it out.

    • Ordered Fri 24th, the filaments and CR touch arrived this morning via AusPost, the printer delivered lunchtime by a dude driving Eurocar hire truck!

      • i assume you're based out of syd? That makes sense you got it today

Tracking for mine shows it in Wetherill Park yesterday, so i suspect its now travelling across AU (to Perth)

Just finished ordering one of these, thanks OP! With telling PayPal to use USD instead of AUD, I saved a few more dollars as advised by Davo1111. Printer came to $293 which is amazing.

After scouring through previous posts looking at comments for recommendations for upgrades and things to explore first, I picked up some of the more basic upgrades to start with, which I plan to introduce bit by bit as I work things out and ensure nothing is busted on day 1.

I got this Creality upgrade kit from eBay from the seller sayer_cnc, as they were recommended by another user in a previous post. Mostly for the metal extruder, Capricorn PTFE tubing, and the springs.
I contacted the seller to confirm a few things about the kit, and they were very helpful and friendly (they were even happy to swap out the springs for 20mm ones). So far I would highly recommend them if you want some upgrades or parts, and they stock them. They were super excited about assisting someone with getting started.

And as it appears to be both an OzBargain favourite, and positively reviewed everywhere, I got a couple spools of eSun PLA+ filament to get started with. A white and a green seemed appropriate (there are many Bulbasaur prints in my future!)

Excited for it all to arrive and jump in!

    • Is this kit worth getting? should i ask for the 20mm springs also (sorry, slight new to it)

      • The last of my packages are still to arrive, but should have everything ready to setup this week. So I can't comment on how necessary things are just yet sorry.
It wouldn't hurt to message them and ask RE the 20mm springs - they were very knowledgeable and more than happy to point me in the right direction (also pretty new to this).

        • I am new too.
What is the point of getting 20mm springs?

Thanks OP and Davo1111, managed to snag one for $297 AUD (was ~$212USD) using PayPal, changing currency option to USD :)

  • Looks like it's either expired, or i am doing something wrong

Tells me the code cannot be used for bundles?

This is when i try any of the bundles from the link

I think the coupon still works although only for the Ender 3 only, not the bundles. I had the same issue as you so ordered only the ender 3 and got the CR touch separately on ebay for 54

      • I had the same issue. Bundles don't work, only the printer on it's own is valid with the coupon. I just got the printer from them, and got the other bits I wanted elsewhere.

  • I paid through paypal yesterday and payment was confirmed, however Creality have sent an email saying the order has not been paid. Has anyone experienced this?

  • Payment is available in AUD now? $284 AUD seems pretty good.

    • nevermind its still usd in checkout
