Good discounts, especially for PS store/Xbox that very rarely go on sale.

    Thanks OP.

    • Can the Xbox credit be used for the Live subscription? Don't want to buy it and find it doesn't work.

      • Should be able to, but I just checked the microsoft store and you can only do 1 month or 3 months, the latter costing $29.95.

There's always the VPN method for ~$45 per year, but if you want to keep it local it's much more economical to get 12 months at JB for $79.95 https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/xbox-xbox-live-gold-12-mo…

  • Is $50 the max the you can buy? e.g. any amount above $50 won’t earn a 14% cashback?

    • There is no other option anyway.

    • +2

I purchased a few using same CC
No issue on the transactions, all got tracked in Cashrewards

      • As long as t&c doesn’t say only single transaction per account. Otherwise those tracks will end up nil when CR comes around to round it up

  • +1

Can anyone figure out if you can purchase more than a $50 card in one transaction? Either multiple cards, or a high denomination?
I want to purchase a few for someone as a gift, but don't want to have to do multiple transactions and have them receive direct emails etc.

    • +1

One card per purchase. It may trigger your card's fraud prevention after a few purchases, though.

      • +2

Thanks Neoika. Not exactly a tidy method for purchase huh. You wouldn't think that it would be too much to ask to be able to set denomination like most other vouchers…. come on cash rewards

        • Maybe it is a smart setup to protect merchant as it let your card issuer to decline the purchase.

  • +2

Thanks NC, spotted a few other stores on the swap too such as BCF, Supercheap Auto and Rebel :)

    • you got a full list? anywhere to see?

    • Link?

      • I just put a list in the comments

  • +1

Any limits of how many cards can be purchased from CR ?

    • +1

      9 cards per day.

  • Can this be used to buy Nintendo Switch console from Harvey Norman?

    • +2

you can buy anything from HN besides from other gift cards I believe

    • limit of 4 GC's per transaction at HN if purchasing online. Not sure if this limit applies in store

  • +7

Daily purchase limit reached after 10 .

    • Sad short of a series X

    • niceeeee, how about another credit card?

  • +2

Re Doordash, Zip has $115 for $100 right now.

    • -1

The Doordash cards are likely just leftovers from this deal OP felt like re-plugging.

    • +1

If you're referring to Harvey Norman, give it about 30 minutes. They seem to take a bit of time to activate, mine worked after about 30 mins (I originally got that error too).

      • +1

        thank you

      • Hi! Can you please explain how this works. Through thrill I buy gift cards and then can swap them for Harvey Norman gift cards. How does the cash rewards work. Do I get the 14% back in Harvey Norman gift cards. I need about $4000 of HN gift cards as buying furniture.

Thanks in advance for your help.

        • cashback in $, just like any other purchases. You'll need to buy 80 cards to get to $4000, not sure if that's possible.

          • @tajid: Hi when I went through to the store it showed me I can buy $500 gift cards so I am Assuming it’s only on the $50’s card.

  • -1

purchased 5. Dont work - sad

    • +4

Also purchased 5. Do work - happy

    • I was able to purchase upto 9.

  • +1

Bought them and converted them to Kogan cards that says expires in 3 years. When I redeemed those Kogan cards at the Kogan website, the credit given says expires in 1 year. WTF?!?!

Is this a glitch or are there some fine prints somewhere?

    • +1

Amazon GC when redeemed doesn't expire, Kogan GC 1 year expiry once redeemed. 🤔

      • Where's the fine prints that tells you it'll expire within 1 year? I looked and looked and can't find it anywhere.

        • +1

You should have huffed and puffed and blowed the gift card away..
          Ignore.. just amusing myself..

      • Your Kogan.com Gift Card will be valid for 36 months from the date of purchase.

For more information on how to apply your Gift Card, please take a look here: How do I redeem my Gift Card on Kogan.com

Please note: Kogan.com Gift Card credit that has been applied to your Kogan.com account will continue to be valid from the date of your original gift card purchase.

        Nice BS WEK

    • I think they are different terms. It means you have 3 years to convert from Thrill to anything. But once converted, the T&C is now with Kogan, and Kogan wants you to use up your credit in 1 year.

      • +2

When converted to Kogan gift cards, the pdf on the Kogan card with the number says there expires in 3 yrs. But after redeeming it at the Kogan website it became 1 year

        • does kogan have a limit on how many GCs you can use in one transaction?

Or does it just load GCs as credits into your account, like Amazon?

          • +1

@xrailgun: I think it's like Amazon, if I remember correctly.

        • +2

So I guess the actual expiry is 4 years, since you have 3 years to redeem it, then another year after redemption to use it.

  • Maximum amount of gift cards to use in Harvey Norman store, their terms and conditions seem to indicate no cap

    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/gift-cards-terms-and-conditi…

  • +1

yeah someone wrote 4 earlier max but i just used 5

    • (3) Harvey Norman Online accepts Gift Cards as a payment option for any Order and a customer may redeem up to four Gift Cards to complete their purchase with Harvey Norman Online.

      https://www.harveynorman.com.au/terms-and-conditions

Did you use 5 online or in store?

      • +1

        Online

      • +1

I just spoke with live chat, there should be no limit on the number of gift cards you can use in one transaction

  • +2

lol My commbank CC cards got locked maybe they're suspecting my card got stolen, this $50 per purchase is rather…annoying

    • I did 5 on ANZ..how many did you do

      • 4 then locked, but there was no warning or notice from commbank, just said the transaction was declined. Need to call the CBA later and find out what happened.

      • I purchased 8 using Citibank signature all gone successfully
