[eBay Plus, Seconds] Sony ILCE7B Alpha A7 Full Frame Camera $655.37 Delivered @ Sony eBay

250
PLUSMKP

Likely the lowest price for a mirrorless full frame camera with factory warranty. On par with Gumtree prices but at least here, you get factory QC's peace of mind and usually near new condition. More than 10 available at time of posting.
Ideal for anyone wanting to try out full frame photography on a budget, plenty of cheap second hand FE lens on Gumtree/eBay.

Note this is an older design camera (circa 2014) but Sony store is still selling them as entry level full frame.

Pros
Good value
Very good image quality
Compact body

Cons
No 4K video
No in-body stabilisation
Relatively low-spec screen and EVF
No touch screen

These are excellent for using with adapted vintage lenses. Strong recommend at this price point

  • Have owned my first gen A7 since new and still going strong. Not as many features as the new generations, but a phenomenal camera - especially at this price point!

Having less features means you have to work on fine tuning your techniques rather than relying on AI to do the heavy lifting ;-)

  • keen to hear people's experiences with seconds in the forum

    • I had purchased a few items from sony ebay, some of them have light usage sign, none of them have problem,

    • No issues. Had about 600 on my shutter count on my A7 II.

    • A couple of years ago I got two AX53 seconds from Sony eBay. One unopened, the other open box but the camera was pristine, all protective films on, all inclusions as new. Very happy at $400 each. Bonus was the still-valid Sony store $50 gift cards in the box.
I even tried to push my luck with a cheeky claim on a cashback promotion they were running, but knocked it back as per the T&C regarding 'seconds'.

    • bought an a3500 a few years back, think the lens might have an issue auto focusing on detail, like text at a short range. recommend doing shots of test images/calibrations to check.

Wow amazed to still see this first gen for sale. I got mine quite a while ago and it makes an excellent webcam when paired with a vintage manual focus prime lens and also a HDMI capture dongle.

  • Amazing value for a full frame camera. If you're looking to make the leap, this is a great choice.

Check out some reviews about buying it now it's old though to see if it's worth it for you.

    Nice camera for the price.

There's also a damaged box a7 ii available for $900 or so with the code, could be worth the extra given the upgrades over the mark i and the better condition (supposedly)

    • Now that's a deal :)

    • Yep couple of good seconds but all insufficient quantities for me to post. E.g. A7r IV and 7c also.
Check out their seconds OLED TVs if you are in the market for one 65” $2349

A7c for $1800 or so with the code is pretty good too.

Thanks. Just bought the last one

      • Damn how come I couldn't find one

        • I was having the same issue.

In different searches some items weren't showing up.

        • There was only one for sale.

  • good deal for a FF mirrorless.
Just a quick question, I got a Canon 6D and couple of lenses. What would be the current used price and where would be the easiest place to sell it ? I don't like Ebay due to horror stories in OzB forums.

IMHO, EBay is a safer place to sell than gumtree. Just post in gumtree first then use the link to post on eBay with free selling fee (2 items a month). The current used prices are what other people are selling similar items for :-)
BTW Sendle is offering half price delivery on eBay till Xmas. They are not always reliable though. But neither is Aust post.

eBay will give you an idea of the selling price if you filter by "Sold": https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_nkw=canon+6d&_sacat=0&_f…

Then I would go with Gumtree/Facebook Marketplace and, as per the usual advice, only take cash!

sent two pcs, laptops etc on ebay over the years. think I got lucky as the refunders are protected now. Better to sell for less and get a cash deal in person.

Facebook Marketplace. Might even find someone local come pick it up. Used price for 6D body probably sitting between 600-700. I sold most of my kits on FB marketplace and it has been great. Just have common sense as you would on ebay or gumtree as there will always be scammer.
