    That's quite the title.

    • +1

      Better be descriptive than sorry!

      Edit: Fixed

  • The challenge tab in on website now.

  • This seems similar to a Groupon.

Anyone have any experience with their in-store transactions btw? Kind of scared to try out cause if it doesn't track seems like it'll be difficult to prove.

    • It appears in your list of purchases, so if that’s not enough proof then I don’t know what would be.

In-store. Tracked instantly for Coco Milk Tea. Remember to use the ApplePay/Gpay version of your debit card because EFTPOS doesn't track on the same API.

      • "use the ApplePay/Gpay version of your debit card" Can you explain what this means??

        • The virtual versions of your debit card, i.e adding the card from internet banking app to your device wallet. This makes it an internet purchase over a terminal purchase so that mastercard can provide the details easier to shopback.

But I realised that the in-store purchases are shady right now. Because to get the regularly cashback you have to buy another item within 3 months (loyalty card) but the bonus challenges are treated differently and you get the bonus either way.

          This come from this

To be rewarded In-Store Cashback, ensure your Credit Card is linked to your ShopBack account.
You are then required to click the "Boost" button for the store you wish to make your purchase at.
Finally, pay with your Credit Card (there cannot be an EFTOPS logo on the physical card) or your Android/Apple device.
We cannot track transactions through EFTPOS, however if you use a Debit Card through your phone's wallet it will go through as Credit which can be tracked.

          • @Sheng: Very confused. Seems they are running multiple promos at the same time. I got a 100% Bonus Cashback when you boost and pay in-store. Doesnt say has to be a MC credit card

            • +1

@naruto128: The 100% Bonus Cashback is a welcome bonus for new in-store customers so any linked card to Shopback so work.

      • The store in Eastwood doesnt take GPay. Anyone tried tapping with a debit MC?

        • Looks like I read into to much but psychical cards are fine as along as it doesn't have EFTPOS logo on the card.

  • Is there a way to search for all the vouchers? I can only see some in the food section…but they are scattered

    • It for food order right now really.

      • I see, no easier way to find out who provides vouchers? or just have to scroll the entire list?

        • All new experience to me but it seems what is on offer when you click on the banner and scroll down. They sorted in Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, and Snacks.

        • I think the best bet is press "All outlets" at the top > filters > choose 'deals'. You will see stores doing deals other than cash voucher, however.

  • This is so confusing…
    What is shopback in-store vouchers?
All I see is list of restaurants, some you can boost for $5 cashback, but I don't see vouchers sale anywhere.
    All payments are in-store too

    • +1

You buy whatever on the app, it appears as a voucher and then show the assistant in the store, they punch in a code on your phone to redeem the voucher.

I did this at a cafe recently.

    • On the overview screen where you see a list of restaurants and shops, an in-store voucher is indicated by a green coloured box with a voucher icon. It appears just below the section you can boost for $5 cashback - assuming the vendor you're looking at has a in-store voucher deal. Not all vendors have voucher deals (some do, some don't).

Also, when you're on the shop's page in Shopback, the in-store voucher is listed under a store's "Deals" section (you'll need to scroll down to see them as they're towards the bottom of the page).

  • Has anyone bought an in-store voucher using their "10% upsized cashback when you buy a friend" feature and shared the deal with a friend? Will the friend also get $5 bonus cashback when they purchase the in-store voucher using that shared link if they have this challenge activated?

    • +1

      yes, can confirm that

    • +1

Great, thanks! I just tested it and can also confirm it works.

My tracking and challenge completion was almost instant after the in-store voucher was purchased. My friend's tracking and challenge completion was also very quick, although challenge completion came through about 30 secs after the tracking alert.

      • Sadly, not working for me or for my friend that I have shared the deal with. No idea why.

I used my voucher yesterday shortly after buying it with my linked MasterCard (need to enter a 4-digit PIN supplied by the eatery), and "boosted" mine with the "100% bonus cashback" capped at $5 under the in-store cashback section of the eatery's page on the app. Shared the voucher with my friend who also did the same, except she didn't "boost" hers.

Neither of us have received the challenge completion to date, despite receiving the tracking alert soon after our purchases.

Where have we gone wrong? Grateful for any pointers with not many hours left until eateries close…

        • Sorry false alarm people, my bad - looks like I've bought a deal instead of a voucher ><

  • Just bought an in-store voucher, the $5 bonus hasn't updated. -_-

Someone I know bought an in-store voucher on 30/12/21. The normal cashback tracked but the challenge for $5 bonus cashback for purchasing an in-store voucher using Mastercard has not being marked as Complete (and the challenge has now ended). In the bonus $5 bonus promo details it does say "receive $5 cashback (added to your account within 72 hours of purchase)."

However, my challenge completion on 19/12/2021 was very quick whereas it seems people's challenges for in-store voucher purchases made on 30/12 and 31/12 are delayed or not auto-completing correctly… Will have to get GYB's help with this one if it is still not Complete by 72 hours.

The challenge would have completed by yesterday, the SB system refreshes 9am daily, me and my mum bought in-store vouchers yesterday, the challenge is still in finalising results status, looks like will need to contact @gotyourback .

@Alinnia has the challenge completed yet?

      • +1

No unfortunately. So I sent a message to Gotyourback who I'm assuming is on holidays at the moment so hopefully he can help when he's back.

      • +1

Just an update on this. The issue with the challenge not updating to Completed status has been resolved by Shopback In-Store's team via an email to [email protected]. The $5 bonus cashback got manually added to the account.

Since not sure when Gotyourback will be back from his holidays, so you can shoot [email protected] an email if you like.

Did get asked to provide a screenshot of the challenge, so best to include one in the first email. Subject line was "Shopback In-Store". Hope that helps.

        • When did you email Shopback help?

Guess I'll email Shopback help as well.

        • +1

Shopback Help actually reached out to me today about a boost bonus that was still pending for a transaction I made in-store on 3 Dec. They apologised that it was long pending and that they have credited the amount to my account. I replied back asking them to look into my family member's account which had the same issue, and also the issue of the ongoing challenge for $5 bonus cashback on in-store voucher purchase that hasn't updated from "Ended" to "Completed" even though it has been more than 72 hrs. Shopback Help resolved both issues in the same day. So hope your issue gets resolved soon too!

    • Update:
