    Experiential opinion:

    • Nice solid feel to the joystick, actually quite nice for a cheapie in terms of x-y motion.
    • Lots of buttons with bumps on them to assist in identifying them.

    • The slider throttle on the base also works in a pinch - guess if youre after something basic, or easy to whip out in a pinch (snicker, lol), this is the joystick and throttle combo for you!

    • Base is firm and easy to grip, you could comfortably use this on the desktop or under (lololol).

    • Also looks somewhat like the airbus joystick if you care about that and it can also be swapped for LHS and RHS use. And I guess you could also buy the matching thorttle and the two side extensions for that too.

    Now the downsides….

    • Throttle detent is pretty hit and miss so you'll be using this as a single thorttle slider 0-100%
    • It all feels plasticky and after using something truly high end like the VKB MCE Ultimate edition….hard to go back but you also pay a hefty amount for something like that
    • X and Y movement stayed relatively true for the 6 months I used it - its an EM contactless setup, but caution, the twist axis is NOT the same hall effect setup as the X-Y axes, it wont matter if you have rudder pedals but if you intend to use the twist axis…word of caution, mine failed pretty quick and required some serious recalibration of dead zones/skew etc to make it work…I ultimately gave up and locked it out but even locking it out leaves a bit of a flimsy feeling so you kind of want to 'unassign' the twist function to nothing and pretend twist doesnt exist.
    • the buttons and everything all feel a little 'cheap' - plastic is reasonable but can only go so far really - no use of composites/rubber etc to give it a more premium feeling.
    • Following on from that, the biggest gripes with the T16000M are the twist pot failing and the the centering mechanism (very strong around center makes it a PITA especially for aiming or helicopter flying). Can be fixed with a 3D printer bargain and some effort however.

Shame the price went up in general for the T16000M, this $68 is essentially what I paid 7 years ago for the original T16000M which features more buttons and better quality components (complaints about the twist pot are generally for the TWCS version, my original version is still working 7 years later).

  • Can't fly a Starfighter or X-Wing with this nerdy looking thing.

    • cant bomb civilians with this airliner boolshit

  • $25 delivery kills it for me.
