    Was 1499 two weeks back.

Pretty much near "illegal" to fly fpv here. No way in hell you're flying this indoors

    • +1

its only illegal if you get caught

      • +2

Legality doesn't change whether you get caught or not. Becomes a problem when you do get caught.

    • +1

As long as you maintain line of sight it is legal. Assuming you are wearing the goggles for fpv, you can still achieve this by having someone else with you watch the drone. Stupid but legal.

      • +2

Nope, still illegal. Has to be line of sight to the person flying.

"You must keep your drone within visual line-of-sight. This means always being able to see the drone with your own eyes…"

If you want to fly FPV outdoors, you must either:

      • be a member of a model aircraft association that has approval to fly FPV
      • apply for CASA approval to fly FPV recreationally
      • apply for CASA approval to fly extended visual line of sight (EVLOS) commercially

Even though this is a "combo", it's not the Fly More in case anyone was wondering, only 1 battery included.

  • +2

Beware, DO NOT UPDATE the firmware of the aircraft as there is a high chance you will brick the device. There is an unresolve Fly Safe Database error witht his FPV happening on the latest firmware and the aircraft won't take off.

    • Wasn't that fixed in May?

  • +1

Are the rules the same for FPV if it never leaves my property? Want to use it for inspecting fences.

    • Off the ground is not your property unfortunately. It is all regulated by the CASA rules. However, if you are in the middle on nowhere and not under runway approach or operate when aircraft are around you are hardly going to do any harm. Just don't go posting your video of it online.
