Wow, already made it to bargain bin pricing, impressive.

  • Wow! Just paid $30 for it!

  • Thanks!

  • +4

    Free next gen upgrade.

    • The PS5 version is the same price anyways

      • +1

Can't see of there's any stock, may call a few stores.

        • +2

Looks like Mildura and Burnie only are left for in store pick up (PS5)

      • Ps5 version is sold out.

PS4 version works on both consoles.

  • +5

Huge game, with a lot of content. $9 for PS4 + free PS5 upgrade is a true bargain. The game looks fantastic on PS5.

    • I found PS4 25 minutes away lol

  • +1

Delivery doubled the price but I did it anyway as I've wanted it for a while haha

  • This is a great deal for a huge game with heaps of content.

  • It's better to get the PS4 version right?

    • I would say yes as it could be on xbox gamepass in the future, but then I can't guarantee.

    • +1

Compared to the PS5 version? Well it depends. PS4 version means you can play it on a PS4 and a PS5 and it's eligible for a free PS5 upgrade. PS5 version means less downloads, less issues upgrading and less installation issues (I have the PS4 version and the free PS5 upgrade, but the PS4 version still attempts to install everytime I insert the disc, so now I have both version installed).

      • +2

        PS5 Version means less downloads

Not as of next week it doesn't.

Ahead of title update 1.4.1, Ubisoft has warned that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will need a complete reinstall once the patch goes live next week. That means you should prepare for a roughly 77GB download on PC, though apparently the total will be slightly less than the current game's pre-update size, excluding DLC, due to some optimization.

        • Good to know, I might hit my download limit this month.

  • +1

Insanely cheap for a good game and eligible for free next Gen upgrade.

  • Thanks mate, been thinking about picking this up and couldn't say no at this price

  • +6

. Not a fan of this game or physical copy. But hey, $9, just order to prove I am a ozbargainer.

    • +1

How much is the trade-in value at eb?

      • $10 for Series X & PS5.

        • +5

Thanks. So with eb world bonus, we are actually making profit.

          • +1

@ce5himm: Birthday month means 50% extra trade credit.
            I really should buy 50…

            • @Intoxicoligist: Can you trade-in same game more than 1 copy at the sametime?

              • @ce5himm: It is possible, but it's obviously at the discretion of the staff member overseeing the trade. If you're trading quite a lot of still-sealed copies of something, they might ask to see a receipt to ensure the games aren't stolen.

                • @EMSilver: Why still sealed? Just open it. Make some finger prints on it.

                  • @ce5himm: My point was just that that's an obvious no-no. They might still raise questions about opened copies, no guarantees there, but I've genuinely traded in two copies of a game at the same time without any trouble.

                    • @EMSilver: Fair point, anyway I have all the receipts if they really want to see.

                    • @EMSilver: Just came back from my local eb, talked to them about trade-in. They told me as long as it's over $10 trade-in value(was talking about 2 game +29 preorder deal), they don't care they are the same or not. Looks like 42ish elden ring would be nice.

  • Great find, thanks!

  • +5

Come on Amazon and price match.

    • How long does it normally take them to match? There must be a threshold where they don't match; I can't see Amazon happily doing $9 for a recent release. Usually AC games like this drop to around $15-19 minimum.

      • It just depends how much they pay for the game, and if the price match will still give them profit or not.

        • I don't think Amazon care about making a profit - they do price matching to take away business from their competitors. The Amazon Prime free (and fast) delivery is enough for most customers to order from Amazon instead.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Got one

  • -6

This bloated mess of a game isn't worth it even at this price

  • +1

wow. that's really a deal. thanks, OP!

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Ordered one.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered one.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered one for click & collect.

  • Waiting Amazon to match price

  • +3

Thanks OP - grabbed on to pick up. One more to add to the growing list of games I am planning to play over the festive season.

    • +1

      That’s the spirit!

  • +3

Didn't realise until now that I can click and collect Target stuff at Kmart.

    • Good info, thanks!

  • +5

With target I got so far:

    • Tony Hawk pro skater 1 + 2 Xbone $10
    • Cod modern warfare 2019 Xbone $4
    • Bravely Default II $10
    • Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity $15
    • Ac Valhalla PS4 for $9.

Damn, way better deals for me than Bf prices.

    • Whoa, which target is that? All the target around me closed :(

      • +2

First two were at Mt Druitt NSW, Bravely default and Hyrule Warriors was on Hornsby NsW and Ac creed again at Mt Druitt.

    • +1

Great bargain list. You must also used extra 5% off gift card.

    • The best I got is fitness boxing 2 for $25.

    • +1

Thanks mate, got Bravely Default 2 at Target for $10 from this.

      • Well done mate

      • Which one?

        • +1

Frankston - last one on the shelf though

  • +2

This game is way too long and full of grinding, repetitive gameplay but I know there's people out there that enjoy that so this is a steal for them

  • Cracker of a bargain. Ordered one for c&c.
I figure i secure a copy while i can, then while I'm in store later i can look for other deals.

  • I’ve never played an Assassin’s Creed game before but for $9 I’ll give it a try. Thanks OP.

    • +2

And if you don't like it. EB will pay you more than 9

      • Bloody brilliant!

    • -4

I don't think it's worth $9. But seems plenty enjoy these mediocre games as long as they have 150 hours worth of checklists to fill out and waypoints to reach, which apparently classifies as gameplay. Ubisoft games. Value for money if you like doing chores.

      • +3

You actually don't have to do all the "chores" and like most open world games you can just focus on the main story and largely ignore the rest.

  • Awesome l! Got one! Not a fan of this game, placed the order purely because it is a bargain!

  • Got one! Thanks OP.

  • Thanks OP got one.

  • Thanks OP, bought it.

Yes it's a grind, but you know what you're getting into and I like these games

In any case trade into EB and profit when you're done

  • PS4 version sold out.

    • Thanks, I'll update that in the description

    • +1

      It's available in SA.

  • +1

Xbox home delivery is OOS too.

  • Still available in Morley, WA.

  • -1

i got gold edition in turkey epic store for $25, now regretting, it is a rubbish game with endless copy paste quests, worth no more than $10

    • +3

So this is a good price then.

  • Didn't like it that much myself but for $9 it's probably worth it.

Well, technically the cost is $9 and about 150 hours of your life.

    • +1

No, you don't have to play it.

      • You maybe. I did not have the mental fortitude to stop.

  • In stock at my local so I'll take that as a sign to buy.

  • -2

Any other good games on clearance?

    Gotta drive 11kms for 1 game :/

    • See if you are as lucky as kazuyamishima
Else wait for Amazon or price match with JB?

      • Those games don't really appeal to me, I wish Amazon would price match.

  • +1

There are over a dozen copies for PS4 in Brisbane CBD.

    • Not any more! 2 ps4 cases on the shelf when I got there and when I took it to the counter the keys to the cabinet had mysteriously disappeared. 5 mins later the guy came to find me and said that even though they hadn't found the keys yet some of the staff had bought copies and I could have one of them.

      • +1

…yet some of the staff had bought copies

Wow, this is surprisingly triggering me haha.

I remember when Dick Smith closed down and the staff were hoarding everything for themselves, like $1000+ cameras that were being sold for bargain prices all mysteriously going out of stock instantly… I remember there was even a Dick Smith employee who came onto Ozbargain to defend the staff.

      • I've got one confirmed for click and collect @ Brisbane CBD. Lets see if its still there when I go to collect early next week!

    • what about ps5?

      • None left when I was there at about 10am.

  • +1

Why didn't I wait for a deal like this? :-(

  • I just did C&C to my local, it says 5-7 days but I'm in no rush. It saves me driving 11kms, now I only have to drive 6-7kms 🤣

The other one is in a shopping centre which is annoy, at least this is in a smaller complex, in/out alot easier.

Alot of PS4 stock in SA.

  • +2

Target via Catch has $9 XSX copies available for delivery for those interested :)

Free Delivery over $45 spend, $4.50 C&C at Kmart. Not 100% sure but Club Catch members may get free shipping.

    • Too bad they stopped free T/K pickup

    • 15% cashback ATM I think

      • No. 6pm from cr

      • What ATM is this?! Is there a maximum withdrawal amount?

  • Why are PC versions mostly not included in such deals?

    • +1

Maybe they think people spend over 2k for a GPU, would not care about couple dollars saving.

      • lol

    • +3

They probably buy less PC physical stock in the first place so have less later to clear out. Maybe.

      • That makes sense.
