  Don't know what the "8 Chennels" actually are, might not within the aussie CB if they are imported. but still not too bad as BT speakers.

    I am wary that the "channels" may not even refer to standard radio channels and that it is all driven through direct bluetooth pairing to each device somehow

    Also feels like they may potentially be overselling/reiterating this Wattage output (under speaker power) as if it was radio transmission power for SEO

    Though other listings do the same thing

      I actually found the channel list for a Chinese version on Chinese Website, on which they are the same as the channel 1-8 on PRS409 - the Chinese version of CB, 409.7500mHZ - 409.8375mHZ. And they also indicates that they are using FRS frequency, so they might do using FRS in US market.

      These are distributed by TEAC Australia, assuming they are the Aussie version, should have changed the radio frequency to CB to be legally use here, but CB 1- 8 are not acutually in use, so I do wondering what frequency are those channels use in the Aussie version (if they do have different setting in different markets).
      At least, they do using UHF tho.

    Sounds like it does have some sort of walkie talkie functionality then as Bluetooth does not commonly see that type of range

    UHF/VHF would have more channels even at the crappiest end, Kmart has 2W UHF's at $15 (not recommended even as kids toys) with full features.

    I don't know how they could get 5km on 2.4GHz though, they do say line of sight but even that's a stretch even across mountain peaks.

    There's a bunch of red flags anyway so I wouldn't expect any claim to be true.

        I have a set of these and yes not bad. Aldi sell the same pack for around $49 . They only just had them on special buys so you may be lucky enough to locate old stock
