I went to the George Street Sydney store today and was there at about 9:05am (along with approximately 200 other peeps). There was so many people crammed into the gaming area I thought I was going to pass out it got so hot.
There were no (sale) prices marked anywhere so you really had to know what you were after. All I could recognise was the Wii Elmo and Cookie Monster games and I won't even pay 5 bucks for them.
Was hoping to get Wii controllers and some Wii games for the kids, perhaps a DSi if I was lucky! HA!
Tonight I went to the Macarthur Square stores and you wouldn't even know there was a sale on. Hardly anything there. The large store had about five boxes lined up of some steering wheel not sure which one though, and I did see the $499 one but it wasn't marked down. So if you are after one maybe ring them to see what one it is I saw?!
In the small Mac Square store, the sales guy showed me the list which was similar to the leaked one it was about 5 pages of an excel type spreadsheet and he showed me what they had off that list. The majority of the pages were marked off in black and only about half a dozen things highlighted. He said that they will have Wii Party with remote for $15 but that will start next week. Won't hold anything!
He said that because the list was leaked they've held off on some of the things. He said that he thinks the sale will be on the 11th (and even mentioned a catalogue).
Oh, well, nothing was promised. Bit bummed but I see it as a clearance. I don't really have a problem with staff getting stuff but then it shouldn't have been made a public sale. More a "friends and family" sale! What p155es me off is people that have no intention of using it but just selling it for a profit!
Don't know if this has been posted yet?
